As I mentioned my branch is Information Technology. In my college course, the curriculum of cse an IT is almost the same, the only difference in the last sem. The faculty of both branches are the same. Subjects will be core from cse, few subjects of electronics can be seen in 3rd and 4th sem. Overall lab and theory faculty are good.
I choose the information technology branch. we have the same syllabus for the first year and then according to branch from 2nd year. The teachers are off-top class as you expected from NIT. you have to cover the syllabus seriously to pass the exam and have to attend class and do the assignment and other stuff.
Package of IT branch is pretty good and in campus many good company are coming. All faculties are good but few of them are very good and few of them are not. All faculties have very good qualifications from very good colleges Now incovid pandemic period only end semester are held online and mid semester are taken in form of quizzes like average of 5-6 quizzes
If you are one of those students who can study can for a few days continuously then no need to worry if you haven't studied the whole semester, you complete the syllabus in 2 to 3 weeks before end sems and as of my experience, I have completed a subject in one and a half-day before the semester.
CHOOSE BECAUSE OF JEE RANK. 5-6 FACULTY PER SUBJECT. ALMOST EVERY PROFESSOR IS A PH.D. HOLDER. OVERALL DECENT TEACHING STYLE. QUIZZES ARE A BIT MORE THAN MODERATE WHILE END SEM ARE OF MODERATE DIFFICULTY.
I choose information technology because of placement stats if this college. Faculty rario is 10:1. All teachers are phd holders. 2 semster per year and one mid sem and ine end sem un each semester.....
The course curriculum is highly appreciated. And faculty members are also very much helping nature. I chose this college because it has good coding culture and placement statistics. Faculty to student ratio is around 40:1 which is pretty good as they can assist each and every student. Since it is the National Institute of technology so you can predict the qualification of the faculty and their teaching methods. We have to give mid semester exams and end semester exams, there is internal and external lab viva too. And you have to work hard to pass.
I choose this college because this college has a great placement record. Not soo good 30:1. Their faculty are highly qualified and well trained. For the first year it's not so hard to pass the final exam but for other years it's really difficult to pass endsem.
The course is a good design but some topics also teacher teach us in which is not matter for my branch. Teacher: student ratio is around 30:1. Teachers are well qualified and have good knowledge in their field. Most of them are PhD and Mtech and MSC. Due to corona exams were delayed for 2-3 months. Exams organize on Ms team's platform from where we have to give quizzes and exams. As we know online exams are not very tough to give.
Choosing IT at any of the mentioned colleges depends on what you want to make your career in. If you are good at coding then IIIT Allahabad will be a good choice. The course curriculum is designed to provide you knowledge of DSA, OOP, and so on. You will learn more about coding at IIIT Allahabad than at NIT Allahabad.
IIIT Allahabad also has a good student environment which will help you in acquiring knowledge and keeps you motivated.
If you are not passionate about learning to code, then NIT Allahabad will be a better choice. In NIT Allahabad, you will meet students from a diverse background that will help you improve and groom your personality. The institute will give you wider exposure. You can prepare for examinations like UPSC or CAT And can also start your own start-up. NIT Allahabad has a better brand value than IIIT Allahabad.
Therefore, you can choose either institute as both of them are equally good. But coding is important to get a good placement in MNCs. So choose according to it.
I am a student at IIIT Allahabad. Here are a few parameters to compare these two options-
MNNIT is a good college, but IIIT Allahabad offers top notch facilities and opportunities. I would recommend you choose IT at IIIT Allahabad over CSE at MNNIT.
The Information Technology (IT) branch at MNNIT Allahabad is as good as the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch at the institute. There is not a major difference between the two branches.
The bottom line is that if you are not getting CSE, then you should definitely consider IT if you are interested in coding.
An institute should not be judged according to its popularity. Among the above two options, IT in IIIT Allahabad is a much better choice, considering the infrastructure, faculty, and overall environment in IIIT Allahabad. The table below gives a brief level of comparison among the two institutes.

Key Highlights - IIIT Allahabad:
Considering all the above factors and the placement scenario of IT in IIIT Allahabad, it is definitely a better choice than MNNIT. Even being a newer institute, IIIT Allahabad should always be preferred over MNNIT.
Both the colleges are well-renowned. But there are certain things I would like to bring to your notice-
As per college rankings, MNNIT is the top NIT in North India. It witnesses very good placements in IT/CSE. The average package for IT is almost at par with that for CSE. This year, the average package was around 24 LPA for IT and 27 LPA for CSE. The CSE students at MNIT Jaipur receive comparatively way lower packages.
At MNNIT, CS, and IT students have the same curriculum till 2nd year. Even after the 2nd year, only 1 or 2 subjects are different. The coding culture is great, and coders perform really well on various platforms like CodeChef, HackerEarth, Hackerrank, etc.
I would recommend you choose IT at MNNIT Allahabad.
It’s highly illogical to compare BIT Mesra with NIT Allahabad. MNNIT Allahabad belongs to a different league and is way better than BIT Mesra. Its CS and IT placements are surprisingly better than the new IITs too.
The best part about MNIT Allahabad is its extensive job opportunities. Companies coming for CS students allow IT and ECE students to sit for placements as well. So all you need to do is become proficient in coding and clear the interview smartly.
Here is a comparative analysis of the placement statistics of BIT Mesra CS and MNNIT Allahabad IT

The placements as well as the coding culture among Information Technology (IT) students are no less than that of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students. In fact, both branches are almost similar.
Placements: Almost all companies that visit the campus to recruit CSE students also make the IT branch eligible to apply, barring only a very few. The table below shows the placement statistics for the two branches for the academic year 2020.

CSE |

Coding Culture: Many students from the IT branch do coding. The number even increases near placements. If we compare the number of coders in CSE and IT, it will be almost the same. Students have also started contributing to the open-source platforms. So, all in all, the coding culture is also good and improving each day.
Finally, the IT branch at MNNIT Allahabad is a very good choice for academics as well as your future career growth and should be definitely considered.
MNNIT Allahabad is a top institute in the field of Computer Science and Engineering and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Indian government. It has earned a good reputation over the years due to its strong academic programs, research activities, and industry collaborations.
