Firstly, the hostel fees at BHU vary from course to course. So all I can do is give you a rough estimate through the information I got from my sister who pursued B.Sc from BHU. Hostel Fees 1st semester stood: INR 2666 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th semester: INR 1290 (regular fee and hostel fee both) 3rd, 5th, and 7th: INR 3190 (regular fee and hostel fee) Mess Charges: INR 40 for a simple diet INR 60 for special INR 80 for chicken Usually, there are 2 diets a day and on Sundays, there is only one diet. But the Sunday meal is special so it is counted as a double diet. So the approximate price stands at INR 80-100 per day. If you skip the meal or go home then you can tell Mess Maharaj and you won’t be charged.

BHU LLB Course is better than most Indian Colleges. Some of its salient features are: Fee is higher than the 3-year course Tough competition as limited seats are available It’s a self-financed course Ranked amongst the 8-10 Law Colleges of India The amenities at BHU- Infrastructure, Faculty, Exposure, Security all add to its wonderful experience Massive lush green campus Placements- The placements at BHU are above average. You might get to work in law firms, practicing in courts under a senior lawyer. Other corporate sectors or legal advisory jobs are also available. Many BHU students also prefer pursuing Judiciary.

How is mechanical engineering at IIT (BHU)?

My cousin was a student at IIT BHU in Varanasi. She shared her experience as to why she thinks it’s not a good branch for Mechanical Engineering. The professors are under qualified here. They have little knowledge about their own subjects and teach only bookish concepts. The classes are boring. Students attend classes merely for attendance. This is because even if you score good marks, you might fail if your attendance is less than 75% in that particular subject. The numerical answers are not checked through the stepwise method. That is your method to solve has no value if your answer is wrong. Professors here are not well versed with the relative grading system. This affects the CGPA of many students. Placements are mediocre here. Only non core sectors like coding and analytics get placement opportunities. The salaries offered are also very low. Labs are not equipped with modern tools. The students get no practical exposure. The conclusion from her experience was that the professors in Mechanical Engineering at Varanasi IIT are bringing down the results of students terribly.

How good it is to do MBA from faculty of commerce BHU?

My sister’s friend could not score a good rank in engineering but was lucky enough to get a seat in BHU UET for Maths Hons. The minimum qualifying percentage for every paper and also viva-voce is 35%. Passing the language paper in the Part-I exam is considered mandatory. However, it will not be counted in the general aggregate of the Results. Candidates scoring 60% and above shall be declared to have passed with First Division. Candidates securing marks above 50% and below 60% be declared to have passed with Second Division. Candidates securing marks below 50% be declared to have passed with Third Division.

Their curriculum is consists of internal(marks weightage 30) and theory(marks weightage 70) internals consist of assignment attendance presentation and sessional test their marks weightage depends on professors of respective subjects. Teaching method needs a major repair and examination and syllabus is very old fashioned.No essence of practicality in the course

I pursued my 12th in commerce stream and I wanted to make my career as a Chartered Accountant. So I opted for B.Com(hons) so that It will benefit my CA career as well. And there In BHU I met many students who were pursuing same feild so I got for them as well to move ahead in the career. Semester exams in BHU are bit tough. Mainly exam are at the end of the semester consisting of 6 subjects.

Teachers are very interactive, they appreciate the students, they are very supportive, helpful. Their teaching methods is good, they solve any query or doubts of students personally. Experience teachers are here
The way of conducting exams is very good. Sessional tests are conducted in all semesters and semester exams are held. And the papers are checked in a good manner. Sessional marks are given on the basis of student's behaviour, their activity and class

Apart from studies, students are also given the opportunity for their personal development. Course related field curriculum activities are conducted. Class presentations are conducted and students prepare for it and then present their topics in the class. This develops their skills.. Exams are conducted in every semester, session wise class test are conducted. 2 exams are conducted in a year. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate. Every subject carry 100 marks which divided in 3 parts (1) 70 marks for theoretical exams, (2) 20 marks for sessional test (class test), (3) 10 marks for students attendence in class, their behaviour in class, their activeness level, their participation, their activeness, which encourage the students to take active part in the class.

The course curriculum should be more practical and implied towards the real life situations. And the timing of exams especially for the numerical papers like tax and accounts should be improved.

The truth of RGSC

Most of the teachers here are very experienced and have a tendency to favour students
Asia's largest campus by area and there are way too much to explore in the campus

The placement committee isn't that must active towards undergraduate students
The adminstration is biased towards some of courses and does not take issues seriously. The administration doesn't have the capability to take effective action to safeguard students interest

The curriculum isn't that difficult furthermore there are real industry experiences that can be provided to the students. As per my past experience, the course should have a compulsory internship program for all the students to have real insight into the current business scenario.

Campus is very calm and cool and as soon as you enter in the campus you will be transported to another World
Some professor are too good while some professor have so much who ( the number of these kind of professor is very low)

Some professor have very much ego for no reason at all
They need to do proper redevelopment of placement cell

Most of the syllabus of our faculty is outdated. They added GST only this year even though GST was in use for almost more than 7 years. They need to revamp the syllabus so that students can get the real world experience for the future works or job seeking. The exams are on time.

I really liked the campus and environment provided. the beauty of campus cannot be found anythwhere
All the faculties have their own separate Buildings and the teachers are very supportive and engaged among the students

One thing that i disliked that the timing of examination in afternoon is very tiring, stydents need to come from far distance
Sometimes mess food just messes with taste which hurts after paying hostel and mess fees , we are not getting the food which tastes like food

The college Provides courses in different fields such as Banking, finance, marketing. They also provide a separate course of B COM honors with Financial market management. these varieties search for interest of students and then it provides for better scope and skills.

Hostel fee is too less then in BHU..(4400 for a year)in which 2000 is refundable

The hostel is not so good ..i lived in BHU’s personally i don’t like it..
Staffs of BHU is not so cooperative for students.it my personal experience

I choose bcom hons because i completed my 12th from commerce...because i have interest in finance and marketing ...In bcom hons i have learned that how companies works,made,and disolved...the role of finance and marketing in business etc..i want to suggest one thing that is this course should include practical based internships in business firms..when i graduated then bcom hons duration is 3 years and 6 semesters but after the introduced of new education law the all undergraduate courses duration are 4 years....and you have give CUET exam to take admission in BHU

Some of the professors are amazing. They not only teach the subject but also teach the way of living.
The people of Varanasi are really helpful. They try to help in every possible way they can.

The classes are not very regular due to which students may need to focus more on self study
The placements offered range between 2.5 lacs to 5 lacs which is justified with the fees of the course

The course curriculum is very well designed to cover all the aspects of commerce field providing the opportunity to learn about each field and explore the different aspects. It does help to clear the basics of any subject and choose the right path for further studies.

BHU is yet to release the admission notice for the Ph.D in Commerce program. The admission process generally begins in the months of April and May every year. The admission notification as well as the application portal will be released on the university’s website.

The Banaras Hindu University will release the application portal on its website. You must submit your application using the online portal. You can apply for the B.Sc Nursing program if you have passed Class XII examination with at least 50% marks from a recognized board taking PCB subjects.

Banaras Hindu University does not offer BA Honors in Sociology. Instead of this course, the university offers BA Honors in Social Sciences. Admission to the course is done on the basis of the CUET UG examination.
