No, our college placement department Is really working very hard to give everyone placement after the completion of our all semester also. And many Maersk line, synergy, dynacom, bergebulk, fleet management used to talk to many of our cadets
Many companies visit amet for placement like mearsk, vships ,Kline, fleet etc and during 6th sem cadets will get chance In placement interview and nearly 80% of people get placement from college. And many people get placement even in 1st year in mearsk
Campus placements are great here, from what I heard from senior batches is that everyone from their batch got placement. So yes rest assured, if you are maintaining a good GPA and are having a good attendance record, then you will definitely get placed. There is a number of local and foreign companies which visit the campus every year. Around 70-80% of students get placement in different companies around the world. I am planning to get a placement in a renowned company (Maersk or synergy), and then after doing 2-3 years of job, I will leave the job on container ships and will move to join cruise ships.
I did diploma in mechanical engineering and also BE MARINE ENGINEERING from same college. I have a good enough experience here. I searched it through google and it showed in first position. You can contact students at college and ask them about college only problem is food for notmrth indians which is a issue but anyhow once u enter you get used to it.
In amet University students are eligible for placement from second semester itself. But the sad part is that very few companies come for placement. During my course of 4 years only two companies come for recruitment ( Maersk line and chevron shipping). I would say that the Maersk is the only mass recruiter in campus and the palace percentage is below 30 % . * I have been recruited by Maersk line and looking forward for my Training with them.
Good college for marine engineering Good placement Good training for marine engineering course Facilities available which are required for marine engineering Several other training courses available Other useful programs
Everything is perfect no bad remarks Its one of the best colleges
The hostel rooms you get are way too small for even two of them to live comfortably. But they stuff in 3 students per room, Upon that they conjust your room with study tables, chairs, buckets(which do not fit under the bed) table mates, and they provided so. only to look good during inspections done by AICTE or DG shipping. Once upon a time Amet gave 100% placement to the students, however now the students getting placed from GME is very little. It is nothing wrong about the institute rather the entire field is not in a good position.
Need to stop recruiting more students that certain amount of seats must be provided.
I have got admission through entrance exam.i also enquired many to take admission in this particular college because only placements are there then only we can say that this college is good.
