The college is very old and has adopted an effective and industry based curriculm over the years. The number of subjects have been moderated to give students enough time in co-curricular activities too. With mordern softwares being used to teach the students over internship chances increase too.

Mechanical enginneering of Thapar University is very renowned and respected across the world. The faculty to student ratio is, for every 120 students there are 5 lecturers. The faculty that teaches us are very qualified and also from very respected universities from across the India. The teaching method includes teaching through ppts and also providing some animations in between for better understanding. Term exams are also set accordingly and atleast 2 hours daily to every subject can definatly grant you an extraoridinary grade.

I chose Mechanical Engineering as it is my interest. The faculty is very nice, gentle, and ready to help every student at any point in time. All the faculty have completed Ph. D.s from esteemed colleges and the methods of teaching are very nice as they use real-life applications that we use in our daily lives to explain topics.

The course curriculum according to me is quite up to the industry standards. I chose the course because of my personal interest, and I don't regret my decision curriculum-wise. The faculty-student ratio in a lecture class is about 1:100, and 1:30 in a subgroup. All the faculties are highly qualified. Exams are also moderately difficult, absolutely not a cakewalk.

The course was well prepared as per corporate culture. It provides exposure to analytical skills, coding, communication, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The Faculty to student ratio was around 1:120 in class and for tutorials and practicals, it was 1:30. The faculties are pioneers in their domain and studied for IITs and abroad reputed universities. The exam was easy to pass as the whole curriculum is majorly created on a hands-on learning approach.

The course is not so good, not so bad, considering the reputation of the college. The faculty is not too interested in taking up research projects. They seem to just do what is necessary. On an average, a class has 25 students. Mostly, the faculty has a doctorate degree. Semester exams are not too tough, can be passed easily.
Have an interest in mechanical engineering. The course curriculum was good with a lot of practical experience. The teachers were good and experienced. Many mechanical-based groups in the college through which can gain a lot of experience.
It Was Through Elimination I Choose The Course Mechanically Considering All The Constraints I Had With The College. The Faculty: Student Ratio Is 1:100 For Lectures. Teachers Are From IITS Also And Have A Very Good Background About Their Field.
Thapar University of Engineering and Technology is an old and reputed institute. Since it is an older and renowned institute, its students definitely benefit from it. The core courses have a tremendous placement record for years. Placements opportunities for the mechanical branch are no exception.
Many reputed companies visit the campus for placements among other colleges in this league. Companies such as Tata Motors, Royal Enfield, Maruti Suzuki, etc. visit the campus for placements. The average package for the branch varies from 10-12 LPA. The college even has team Fateh, the finest formula racing team in the country.
