LPU BHMCT Course
Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) program at LPU Jalandhar is ideal for students looking for specialized hospitality degrees with global recognition. This is a 4 Year programme which consists of 8 semesters. LPU BHMCT Curriculum are as follows:
- Foundation Courses that Provide a base for learning the core courses.
- Core Courses which Provide a base for learning the basics of the programme.
- A set of four elective courses is added to the Curriculum to develop additional skills. Courses can be Chosen from professional enhancement, photography, Management, Animation, Humanities, etc. that are not related to the core discipline of the program.
- Summer/Winter School Programmes happen in the summer vacations or winter vacations that offer academic and non-academic courses.
- International Credit transfer is also allowed in the LPU BHMCT Programme. Students can be transferred to a foreign partner university after studying generally for half the programme duration at LPU.

LPU BHMCT Admission is a four-step process which is mentioned below:
Step 1: Register
- Visit the official website of the LPU and register through the official admission portal of LPU i.e. LPU ADMIT.
- Click the “Apply Now” tab and fill in the basic details like name, email, phone no, gender and password.
- Finally, log in to the site with the username and password that you have created.
Step 2: Apply for LPUNEST
- LPUNEST is an online eligibility/scholarship test through which the students will be selected for admission and scholarships.
- Candidates are required to deposit the test fee.
- The application form and a soft copy of the LPUNEST Kit cost INR 1000 (for boys) and INR 500 (for girls).

I chose this course because I like food and it comes with the joy of cooking. So basically my dream is to become a chef and this course will help me in becoming the best. Ratio of faculty to student ratio is 10:50. Qualifications of the faculty is extraordinary with their amazing, innovative and interesting teaching methods with up to date technologies. There are two exams in each semester and the 2nd one, which is the end term exam is a little bit harder. But with the lectures and the notes provided, it's nothing to worry about.

The fee structure, as far as I know, is very affordable by students of all classes, provided if a student performs well in his/her entrance exam in this college he/she is given a scholarship. The fee per semester is only Rs. 64,000. Loans are also accepted.

Fees structure in my time was quite high but as our course was a certificate diploma course, and the job is guaranteed so depositing these fees was not a big issue for me. I took educational loans from Axis Bank to pay my admission fees.
