Well, the procedure is straightforward. You have to go to the Administration Block and the Transcripts Office on the top floor.
You need to submit an application that explains why you require transcripts and lists all required credentials. Furthermore, you must pay a fee that is determined by the number of transcripts you require. Three sets of them used to cost 7000 INR each (one set comprised eight transcripts, one for each semester of B.tech), a few years back.
You can pay the fee and receive a token slip from the accounting department. The token must then be submitted to the Administration Block office. They'll most likely tell you to wait a week, but if you're lucky, you'll get them sooner.
GNDU Amritsar is a good institute. The campus is great and you can experience nature there with a large number of fields and gardens in and around the campus.
I have a few friends who graduated from the institute and here is what they shared about the institute.
Therefore, you can prefer GNDU for any of the courses provided by the institute as it is one of the best universities in Punjab and worth all the money one spends on education.
On the main campus of the University, there is a grading system and the CGPA is calculated based on the grades scored by a student. Therefore, a good CGPA depends on a good grade. The students who score above 81 marks attain a grade of A+ in the particular subject. For the minors, a student gets 3 chances to improve their performance. If a student fails to attain good marks in the first minor then she/he can go for improving the same in 2nd minor or the majors. The syllabus that comes in the minors is less as that compared to the majors. Here are some tips on how to manage your studies for majors and minors.
These are some ways through which one can manage the time and attain a high CGPA. Follow these tips positively to do well in your university exams.
PTU and GNDU both are well-reputed colleges that have unique strengths and weaknesses. While PTU is a bit flexible in terms of exam pattern, GNDU follows the rule of a year back. The choice of the college also depends on the course you will be studying. Usually, PTU fares better in most cases.
Ultimately, it all depends on the college or university campus you are taking admission. Most colleges in Punjab have a pathetic academic ambiance. So go for the main campus of any university else look for a decent college in your area.
In all, GNDU offers better placement opportunities provided that you are on the main campus.
Both the PTU and GNDU are different in their terms and have their advantages and disadvantages. The GNDU is strict with the examination rules, whereas at PTU rules regarding examinations are quite relaxed in comparison. Choosing PTU or GNDU also depends on which course you are choosing. For some courses, PTU is better, while GNDU is better for others. Here is a brief highlight of the placement statistics for PTU and GNDU.
Parameters | GNDU | PTU |
Average CTC | 3 LPA | 3-4 LPA |
Highest CTC | 13.50 LPA | 12 LPA |
Major recruiters | Chegg, Amazon, TCS, HDFC | IBM, Wipro, Airtel |
At last, everything depends on the college you want to opt for. If you are coming to Punjab from any of the places they don’t. The private colleges are not that good in the state. Therefore, don’t fall for the private colleges of Punjab.
For any admission, apply for the university campus and not for the private colleges. Instead, take admission in your city or the native place.
When it comes to choosing a university or college for higher education, it's essential to consider various factors like the subject you are interested in, your potential, the reputation of the institution, and more.
Here are some things to keep in mind while choosing between Punjab University Chandigarh, GNDU, and Punjabi University for different subjects:
Remember, your potential and interest in a subject also play a significant role in your academic success. So, choose an institution that offers you the resources and support you need to excel in your chosen field.
My brother is in GNDU and here are his tips.
These are some of the things that you should keep in mind.
GNDU should be preferred over DAVIET, as the degree value of GNDU is more valuable than a PTU degree. The study material and exposure provided remain the same in both institutes.
Here are some facts about both these institutes:
Categories | DAVIET | GNDU |
Course Fee | 3.18 lakh | 4.78 lakh |
Placement Percentage | 70% | 70-80% |
Highest CTC | 12 LPA | 10-12 LPA |
Average CTC | 5 LPA | 5-8 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | TCS, Bosch, Infosys, Samsung, etc. | Accenture, Wipro, TCS, IBM, etc. |
In DAVIET, students are not enthusiastic or competitive enough, which makes the overall academic performance mediocre. GNDU on the other hand comprises active students who are very much passionate about their studies hence making the quality of education better.
I have a few friends from GNDU and according to them, here are some of the things that you can do on weekends.
Overall, Amritsar has a lot to offer, but most of it is buried within the city walls, and much of it is unknown to tourists, so much of it is often overlooked. So try to explore and enjoy to the fullest. Make the most of your time until you are in GNDU.
One of my friends studied at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) Amritsar. According to him, the environment is really good, green and clean.
Other departments like Chemistry, Law, Political Science, Food and Technology, Architecture are really good. There is no union of students like a political body makes it a bit better. Very few cultural programs take place here. The library is the most peaceful part of the campus and is accessible to all the students anytime.
