Guru Nanak Dev University was established in 1969 to mark the 500th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is spread over 500 acres towards the west of Amritsar, Punjab. GNDU has 35 academic departments at the University Campus and 148 affiliated colleges and 71 Associate Institutes.
GNDU offers a number of courses in various fields such as Science, Arts, Management, Information Technology, Industrial Technology, Environment, Planning and Architecture.
The University is also accredited A++ with 3.51 CGPA out of 4-point scale by NAAC. According to a recent survey conducted by India Today, GNDU ranks 16 among top 50 universities of the country.

I personally want to study in the Guru Nanak Dev University because the chemistry department of the Guru Nanak Dev University is best that's i hear and i didn't apply anywhere else. They took the entrance test for the addmissions and if u do well in the entrance exam then u further carry on with the admission process. U should study your 10th-12th classes science it ease the clearance of entrance.

I applied to chitkara and punjabi university patiala but choose this over them because many people told me it has better placements but i think it's not true as last year only 15 students were placed out of 100.
