The professors are really good and supportive. Labs are very well built having various equipment. It has a spectrophotometer and various costly equipment. Faculty to student ratio is 1: 6. Tests are conducted more often.
I chose chemical engineering due to its diverse syllabus. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:17. Faculty has mostly PhDs from reputed institutes. Some are great at teaching, while others are boring. Exams are timely, with internal tests, mid-semester, and end-semester. With proper preparation, passing wasn't difficult despite the rigorous curriculum.
My interest was in Chemistry , , therefore I chooses Chemical engineering. Here Faculty are all with PhD done with atleast 15-10 years of experience. Here all professor gaves More Focus on Research and partical knowledge rather than only theoretical knowledge . Also there are many professors of all departments. Semesters exams are first Of Mid Sem and final Called End Sem . Exam questions are based on applicational , and practical knowledge , professors themselves set the paper .
Good faculties and their teaching, have nice experience in industries. Also the curriculum is well defined and up to date with the present scenario. Timely continuous assessment and exams. Question papers of application type.
Course syllabus covers almost everything, right from 1st year in Sem 2 we have an engineering subject,It is not same like other colleges like in 1st year 1st SEM we have PCM as subjects and lab,but some subjects which were to be done in 1st year were, there in 2nd year.Syllabus keeps changing after 6 years, currently the syllabus was updated in 2015.Almost all faculties have done PHD and the way and level of teaching is very good.
I think our course syllabus is up to date because we see our professors talking about recent innovation in the field, Industrial visits are provided and funded as well, one of my favourite faculty is Dr. Sunil bhagwat, he taught us thermodynamics 1 and 2.
I was in open category and I had to pay around 25000/year for my fees. There are several scholarships for caste students and people coming from under previleged sections of the society. The fees still remains the same as it is a government institution. It was affordable for most of them because there were only a handful of open caterogy students and rest students were aid through college's earn and learn scheme.
Fee structure is feasible. The program fee is Rs. 70,000/- per annum, The mode of payment is Demand Draft only. It is compulsory to pay the said amount by DD at the time of admission to confirm the admission. No additional fees to secure the admission. Yes, the college provides the transparency in the fee-breakdown on the fee receipt.
Total fees-85650 Tution fees-15000 Development fees-37500 Exam fees-800 Other fees-33740 Library Fees-2000 Rest is different type of fees such as wifi, sports, lab fees etc. It seems to be bit expensive.
The fees structure is quite feasible. It is far less than the IITs and NITs, some of which are considered to be of similar stature. For a general student, it is about 85k per year. Excluding mess, hostel etc.
