Eligibility Criteria

A candidate for admission to the Ph.D Degree Course shall have:

Academic Requirement:

The candidate having a Master’s Degree in any discipline through regular stream with a minimum of 55% or equivalent grade (50% of marks or its equivalent grade in case of SC/ST/SAP) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University through regular stream shall be eligible for admission;
The candidate having passed the Company Secretaryship examination conducted by the ICS in India and been awarded Associate Membership of the Institute (ACS) and having a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University through regular stream shall be eligible for admission;
The candidate having passed the Chartered Accountants examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants and been awarded Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and having a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University through regular stream shall be eligible for admission.
Master of Business Laws (MBL) from NLSIU with minimum CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 4.00.
Candidate securing not less than 50% marks on the aggregate will qualify for making an oral presentation before the panel of experts on the date specified by the University.
The candidate will be selected by the P.G. Council upon consideration of the research proposal and the report submitted by the expert panel on the oral presentation.
There shaal be a written test for admission.

Entrance Exam:

They must qualify one of the exam: UGC NET / JRF, SLET.

NOTE: A separate ADMISSION TEST shall be conducted to the candidates who have qualified for UGC NET / JRF, SLET, M.PHIL and Foreign Nationals.
