NALSAR Admission 2025
NALSAR Admission is offered for eligible students based on merit in the entrance examinations. Admission is offered to both National and International students. Admission to BALLB (Hons) and LLM programs are based on scores obtained in the national level Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Registrations for admission at NALSAR are done online on the official website @nalsar.ac.in. For MBA Admission, the university conducts the NALSAR MANAGEMENT ENTRANCE TEST (N-MET PG) followed by a group discussion and personal interview. Candidates seeking admission to PhD must appear for the Admission Test followed by the Submission of a Research Proposal. Students at NALSAR are offered placement and internship opportunities on campus. The university has a dedicated Recruitment Coordination Committee (RCC) to aid graduates in placements. MBA students have to mandatorily do three internships in the span of two years (2 Winter Internships, and 1 Summer Internship). I had applied to Nlud as well but decided not to go as nalsar is closer to home and better for corporate. Nalsar primarily accepts admissions from the CLAT exam with cutoffs going into 300s Foreign nationals can apply based on 12th board or equivalent exam marks.

Admission:
My reasons for choosing this college are vast but can be boiled down to there pristine reputation and an environment that allows political dissent and opinion to rise. They also rank as the highest law college in NAAC rating, making the choice evident. The stellar placement track record combined with an alum network ready help makes NALSAR a worth while choice

- The academic intelligence of the professors is intriguing and they are very helpful in every aspect of the law school. And the seniors are friendly and supportive.
- The health centre of the campus is too good to be true. Having a hospital in the campus makes you feel safe and the doctors are heavily experienced.
Dislikes
- The food is at time unhygenic and gives tummy issues. And the eateries can be developed a lot too.
- The competitive culture of the campus may get toxic at times.
Admission:
The admissions are through the CLAT exam which is difficult to crack. NALSAR stands at third in all the National law Universities (NLU's) so this is a good space to be in for future career prospects. I didn't apply anywhere else except NALSAR as this has always been a dream. It took me two attempts to crack this esteemed exam.

Admission:
To be eligible for the course you need to have 50% and above in graduation.The application form can be found on the website also they have admissions in 2 phases based on the number of seats left. The first phase begins in January and the 2nd phase in the month May.There is reservation available for OBC, SC/ST,PWD. The difficulty level is from easy to moderate. There are 4 levels to the admission process; NMAT(Entrance Exam), SOP,GDPI, Interview. Candidates scoring about 75 percentile can skip the entrance exam.

- The competitiveness, overall the structure does seek to foster competitiveness, but it can get out of hand and too much sometimes.
- The distance from the city. It is located very very far.
Admission:
The Entrance is through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Since NALSAR is one of the country's premier institutes, the cutoff is quite low, at around All India Rank 200. CLAT is usually conducted in december every year.

- Tution fees is a little high for our college for an average middle class Indian family .
- Hostel facilities are very poor disgusting in our college . Meal quality is also not good at all

For admission to the UG level BA LLB course students must have passed 10 + 2 from a recognised board and should have qualified for the CLAT examination. 2024 Clat application start date was July 1st, 2023 and the application form's last date is November 3rd, 2023. General OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates should pay rupees 4000 as an application fee. SC/ST/BPL category candidates should pay rupees 3500 as application fees. Didn't avail of any reservation benefits as I was from the general category. None admission process was quite smooth but counselling was a little delayed.

Admission:
The eligibility for one to secure admission into the Integrated Programme in Management (BBA+MBA) (5 Y Course) is a person with 50% marks secured in class 12th. The application forms can be found in the website doms@nalsar.ac.in and the fees are around 4 lakh per year for 5 years. Reservation is present with domicile reservation, female reservation and other caste/obc reservations also present. The college considers JEE, IPMAT Indore, IPMAT Rothak, JIPMAT and CLAT scores. The weightage is split in the form of 50% test score, 25% interview, 12.5% class 12th marks and 12.5% class 10th marks
Admission:
The admission process overall was fairly simple. To be eligible for this course in NALSAR, a student must write the CLAT entrance test which is conducted by the CLAT Consortium. Details of the same can be found on the website. The exam is a 150 marks MCQ based paper to be attempted in 2 hours with a 0 25 negative marking for each wrong answer. A student can apply for this exam from the website. If you wish to try to secure a seat without entrance you should apply in the category of foreign nationals and must fulfill the eligibility criteria required. The other reservations include OBC, SC, ST, EWS, PWD, and other State domicile reservations. For now, I would like it if the NALSAR administration doesn't require the fee to be failed in full at the time of admission to secure the seat. It is difficult to arrange such a huge sum in such less time frame with no advance intimation whatsoever.

It is an internationally recognized postgraduate law degree that allows it's professional to gain expertise in the field of law. Basic eligibility of this course is the UG degree in law. CLAT, LSAT, AILET etc are some entrance tests that give the chance to enter for the course.

What are the various career paths available for law graduates from NLSIU, NALSAR, etc?
Law is a profession that promises a lot of versatility. According to some of my friends who opted for Law, you can pursue a number of avenues if you have a degree in law. Some of them include:
- Judiciary: If you are interested in joining the judicial level then go for IJS. It conducts competitive exams, prelims, finals, interviews and also training. It is very similar to the IAS.
- Teaching: Once you complete your Masters, you will have to crack the NET or the National Eligibility Test which is conducted by the UPSC and start working as an assistant professor in a government college or university. Some private institutes even accept candidates who have not cleared the NET.
- General Counsel: You can also join a company and work as their in-house legal advisor. You will take care of compliance and be in charge of settling disputes faced by the company.
- Law Firm: You can try being a legal associate with a law firm. The compensation you will receive is directly proportional to the reputation of the firm.
- LPO: You can work as an associate of a firm that is involved in outsourcing and caters to high profile clients. This may also include contracts. This can get you international exposure.
Last but not the least; you can try your hand in litigation: This is the most traditional form of law practice. You will have to go to courts, interact with clients, address the jury and judges, etc. This will get you a lot of clout.
What is the market value of a PG Diploma in Cyber Law from NALSAR University, Hyderabad?
My brother recently graduated from Nalsar University, so I can give you some information regarding the institute.
There is no real (job) market value of doing a PG diploma in Cyber Law from NALSAR Hyderabad if you’re a non-law graduate. This diploma won’t fetch you a cyber laws-related job or earn you a raise or a promotion.
You will find this degree useful only if you have an LLB or an LLM degree.
However, The course is great. Even if you are a non-law graduate, it will be an enriching experience for you especially if you can attend the contact classes which are normally organized by legal experts, experienced professors.
Now in the recent placement drive, the highest salary offered for PG Diploma in Cyber Law was INR 36 LPA and the average package offered was INR 6 LPA.
Can we crack the CLAT with 1 month prep and get into NALSAR?
Yes, it is possible to get into a top-rank NLU such as NLSIU, NALSAR or WBNUJS, etc. But this all depends on the strategy you have prepared. There are some CLAT achievers who join for a crash course. They study 8 hours a day rigorously. So, to get the same performance in 1 month is nearly impossible.
- For CLAT GK is a crucial component. It comprises 50 questions.
- You need to go through 1 year of Current Affairs focused on the CLAT pattern which comprises awards, political and executive appointments, mergers, etc.
- Download old CLAT papers and look into the types of questions.
- After that, make a strategy and prepare accordingly.
- The Maths section is of basic level. So going through NCERT books will be a lot of help.
- Verbal is about reading, grammar, and vocabulary. So revise your grammar concepts from your books.
- Legal Aptitude is the most crucial element in CLAT and comprises 50 questions and here where tuitions play a role.
- A good law teacher can help you crack CLAT without any hurdles.
- Logical reasoning is again like maths, reading, and logic. This requires you to master the concepts and practice immensely.
So, it is suggested that you join the tuition classes for a crash course and dedicate 8 hours of your time to CLAT preparation. Cracking CLAT will only be possible if you work hard.
Will I be able to make it to NALSAR with decent mock scores between 110-120 (123 being highest) with domicile reservation?
Since we are discussing NALSAR University of Law, which is one of the top institutes, it can’t be said with certainty that you will get in with a score of 110-120.
According to the public record, the number of domestic seats is around 22. So, you can have a chance to get admission, if students who score above you are from the non-domicile category.
You can definitely secure a seat, provided your score and category. But because the competition is somewhat the same for everyone, you can’t be certain about getting admission. If your score is near the highest, you can be hopeful.
Is it possible to get a seat in NALSAR Hyderabad with 5 months of preparation belonging to science stream?
My best friend was in the science stream and took admission as a B.Tech student in IIT Kharagpur, but afterward, he prepared for Law for 3 months and got through. He's an advocate today.
It is absolutely possible to prepare for the exam in such a short period. Just maintain the balance and if you could, devote more time for preparation. Strategic time management and discipline are what you need.
Work on the derivations in Physics and concepts. Read current affairs in between and this will be a good way to work in balance.
When was NALSAR established?
The NALSAR University of Law was established in 1998 through a Statute by the state of Andhra Pradesh. NALSAR stands for the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research. The University has actively been a part of important discussions on the justice system and law of this country.

Does NALSAR accept the TS LAWCET exam?
No, NALSAR does not accept the TS LAWCET exam for admission to its BA LLB (Hons) program. To get admission to the BA LLB course, you need to have a valid score in CLAT 2024. Additionally, you must obtain a score of at least 45% in aggregate in 10+2 or an equivalent exam. If you belong to the reserved category, this requirement is min. 40% in aggregate.
Does NALSAR accept the IPMAT exam?
Yes, NALSAR does accept the IPMAT exam for admission to its 5-year integrated BBA+MBA course. Take a look at the detailed eligibility criteria for the program:
- Candidates are eligible if they have passed their Class 12 examinations from an accredited board with a minimum of 60% overall (or 50% for SC/ST candidates) or an equivalent CGPA.
- Candidates should have a valid NMET (UG) / IPMAT(IIM, Indore) scorecard.
- To apply under the Resident Student of Telangana category, candidates must secure an appropriate rank in order of merit in the NMET (UG) / IPMAT(IIM, Indore) exam.
Does NALSAR have a sports quota?
No, NALSAR does not have a sports quota. Additionally, the CLAT exam has no provision for a sports quota based relaxation. However, there are reservations under specific categories for admission to BA LLB at NALSAR and other NLUs.

No, NALSAR Hyderabad doesn’t offer a Bachelor of Law program which can be done right after graduation.
At NALSAR Hyderabad, there is no fees required to join the scholarship program for the students.
The total fee for NALSAR University MBA HR is INR 6.68 lacs. The first and second-year fees of the course are INR 3.43 lacs and INR 3.25 lacs respectively.
LLB programs are not offered in open-distance learning mode. The Bar Council of India does not approve LLB programs offered in open-distance mode. You can pursue the said program in on-campus mode only. You can apply for admission after completing a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
What is the date of Entrance Test Examination in 3 year and 5 year LLB courses?
NALSAR Hyderabad offers admission to its three-year and five-year LLB programs based on the merit of CLAT. CLAT 2023 has been conducted on December 18, 2022.
