Likes

Sports facilities are the best with tournaments like interyear ,interbranch ,lalkaar sportseet amd inter NIT.
Hostel life is wonderful and I recommend everyone to go to that campus for learning.

Dislikes

The food of the mes in the hostels are very terrible sometimes.
Food is very bad 90 percent of the times which cause problem for freshers.

My experience of NIT HAMIRPUR.

Likes

Education system is good because of faculty and facilities availabity. Some costly software are available in the college for students use. Internet facilities is also gud.
Hostels is good with good meal and other facilities. LAN connections provided to single students. Sport facilities in hostel like synthetic court for badminton and TT facilities etc.

Dislikes

Distance is the main factor of the college. Nearest railway station is 80 km far away, only bus/cab facility is available.

Placement Experience:

Final-year students are eligible for campus placement. PGCIL and L&T are the companies that came for the Electrical and Mechanical branches. Some oil companies also came with an average package of 10 LPA. More than 80% of students were placed. I was placed as an Assistant Professor and I want to continue my future in teaching.

Placement Experience:

The college has a good placement record and the college provides good placement opportunities for the CSE program. The college placement committee is very dedicated and professional and they know how to attract market leaders for placement. The college committee helps us throughout the placement process and guides us so that we can get selected. The highest package for our batch was around 42 LPA and the average package was around 12 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Reliance Jio, IBM, Maruti Suzuki, Oracle, Adobe, Bloomberg, Amazon, Paytm, Samsung, Mathworks, Texas Instruments, etc visited the campus during the college placement drive.

Best thing about college is that NIT hamirpur has very less work load so that one can continue to learn new skills which can help him in the second year of dissertation and also for the PhD or campus placements.

Entrance Preview:

GATE, AIR 812, NITH was one of the few colleges providing PG specialisation in Computer Science and Engineering course. The location and infrastructure of the college is just amazing.
