Fests are just awesome if don't believe just search about dtu fest on internet also this year engifest'23 is organised and approx 3 lakh students visited dtu to attend this fest
It's fest ... the fest are the best ( the one which happen in feb and march ) and also it's people .

Dislikes

I dislike the fact that the canteen is the worst part of DTU.
Some of the faculty has very bad attitude towards teaching and their behaviour towards students.

Dtu has very good infrastructure according to other engineering colleges.
Better campus and better crowd and girls reservation quota exist in admission

Outside locality of campus is bad, sector 17 rohini
There is no student union of college students

After 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. more than 150 companies visit to offer jobs for students 95% of students get placement in 4th year . The highest package of 1.4 cr and the average is 14 lacs

The campus: It is a lush green campus with all the necessary facilities. The night life is also very refreshing experience and wandering in the campus is always an option when you feel bored.
Sports facilities: Sports facilities are top class and have a wide range of equipments as well. The gym is also well equippped to the standards and indoor hall has badminton, table tennis and many other sports. While outdoors include basketball etc.

Dislikes

Hostel: The hostels were a bit disappointing and did not live upto the expectations. Overall the infrastructure is good.
Teaching methods of the teachers is also a but concerning as most of the work is to be done bby the student so don't expect that you will learn something of value in class. Note this is valid only for some not all teachers.

Placement Experience:

Placements of the 2022-23 session were quite outstanding as the highest package to 4 students was 82.5 lpa domestic. The overall average for the college was 16.7 lpa. Students become elligible for job offers from 7th sem where they receive ppo's after completing internships. Most of the high paying companies like google ,microsoft ,amazon etc visit the campus during placement/internship drives. This year 75% of the students got placed in the tech branches while in other non tech branches the placements were comparitively lower around 60-70%.

An enriching experience in DTU.

The college atmosphere. DTU is a place to be if you want to enjoy college life. The curriculum is pretty chill
Alumni Network. DTU has a significant amount of alumni network since it's inception in the year 1941.

Dislikes

Locality. DTU is situated in Rohini which is pretty much isolated from main Delhi.
Mess facilities are not that good. The menu should be revised oftenly.

Placement Experience:

Students are able to sit for placements in their 7th semester. Almost 350+ companies visit our campus. ALmost 70% of student got places this year. All major companies comes for the recruitment including Google, Microsoft and PSUs.

Different carrer opportunities that college provides apart from Engineering like Analytics and Consulting, there are dedicated socities for all.
Access to alumni network, great seniors working all around the world in different sectors, so anyone who wants to be tech, consulting, analytics, operations, guidance is available with just a message.

Dislikes

Research Opportunities, Only for advance academics research but still helpful in securing Admission in foreign universities.

Placement Experience:

Placements have been good till 2022, because of the market condition there has been decrease in the number of placements at campus. Companies like Google, Atlassian, Zomato, Oyo, Sprinklr have been visiting the campus regularly, every year. HIghest Placement have been 55-60 lacs in India by Zomato and atlaasian. For year 2024, 60 - 65% of the students have been placed.

Likes

The main thing I liked about DTU is it's environment. It has a huge campus size making the campus life if not one of the best.
The exposure we get from the campus life and also there are various societies to join according to interest and exploration.

Dislikes

Due to the 85% reservation the is lack of diversity in the crowd.
I don't know about other departments but in my electrical department the professors are not much keen to teach.

Placement Experience:

There is no such requirement from college side to be able to sit for placements. The companies decide the criteria and the college implements it accordingly. Many big companies like Google, Microsoft, Uber, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Texas Instruments, Bain come to recruit. For instance Google took about 8 people, Texas Instruments took 9, Bain took 33 people, sprinklr took 53 and likewise many companies took a lot of students. Highest package is of 86 lacs offered by Atlassian. Average package is around 12 lacs. For computer science avg package is 18-20 lacs. Around 70% of the students from the whole campus get placement. A few go for higher students and a few go for government jobs preparation. My plan is to go for higher studies after my bachelors in electronics engineering.

placements stats are good around 80-85% people gets placed with median package of 13-14lacs per annum.

Dislikes

course curriculum is pretty old and outdated.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is not that much updated but you can get learnings from taking part in different clubs and socities.Teaching method is good as all the things are explained in detail.Exam difficulty is moderate.

DTU is one of the best universities that offer almost everything which is needed for overall development of a college student, it has many active societies from tech to non-tech which helps in improving the confidence.
Placements are top-notch specially for students from circuital branches easily get their dream package, for other branch students they need to work hard to get their dream package or company overall almost 80-90% students get placed having no backlog

Dislikes

Placements are pretty average for non-circuital branches they need to get into non-tech profiles to get higher package and very few companies come for core sectors.
Professor sometimes cancel classes without any information which becomes problem for students travelling 50kms.

Placement Experience:

DTU provides some of the best placements, outperforming even some of the NITs. Almost every company recruits students from DTU, including Google, Microsoft, Palo Alto networks, payTm, Bain, McKinsey and more. For mechanical and civil companies such as L&T, Tata Motors, GAIL, EIL, Bharat petroleum, MSIL, and Honda are regular recruiters. Approximately 80-90% of students secure placements, while the rest pursue competitive exams or higher studies. In the 2023 placement season, nearly 1864 offers were made across various sectors. If student is unable to secure an on-campus placement, they can utilise DTU's extensive alumni network to seek opportunities outside the campus.

Professors are great, they'll help you out at every step of your college journey, there are a lot of learning opportunities out there
Placements are great, especially for software and circuital branches. All major recruiters come in college to hire great talent

Dislikes

Batch size is too much, as a result faculty to student ratio is somewhat not good
Internship opportunities are there but only for software related branches

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students are eligible for placements. All major companies come to college for recruitment. As I abide by the policies of college. So I can't disclose the company name and package but yeah average package is what I can told you which is around 16 lakhs per annum Around 80% of the students gets placed in campus placements Highest package is about 82LPA My plan is to go for MBA from a foreign University after my degree

College is good overall. Academically they provide good education, the placements and internships records are also good.

Placement Experience:

There are on campus hirings available for both internships and final placements. In the first year you're eligible for internships and from the sem 3, companies starts visiting in the campus for final hiring. Big companies also get visited in the campus. Average package can range from 7,00,000 to 9,00,000

High returns on investment as the fees was less as compared to other government universities.
Amazing campus with all new amenities provides a unique and exciting campus experience

Dislikes

Hostel availability is less. So people from delhi ncr didn’t get the hostel.

Placement Experience:

The placement are good. But majority of the companies visit are for finance and HR profile. The highest package is around 37LPA and the average is around 6LPA . Around 60% students gets the placement on campus.
