First experience of iiit bhubaneswar

Computer lab and all the machines are working properly
The reading room is good and it has air conditioner

The campus is situated slightly distant from the main city
The road to campus is not that good and the mess food is average

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internship officially from 3rd yr and for placements 7th semester onwards. Recently oracle has visited and 4-6 gote in there with 26 LPA . Zscalara was also there around 15 LPA . Percentage last year was 80-85 ig. I think I will join as a software developer along with a carrier in photography but let's see what happens.

When I joined the college, the environment and architecture was very nice, even though the campus size was small.
Even though the size of reading room is small, it has ACs. And there is regular cleaning of classrooms, hostel. Also there are free laundary services.

Dislikes

No AC hostel room is provided even though the charge for single room charges are very high and there are AC points too.
There is involvement of students in management and there is no coordination between different centers such as examination centre

Placement Experience:

From the start of the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. The placement used to be so good and the graph was increasing exponentially. But for to recession, last year's placements were not good at all. There was almost 100% placement in CSE, IT and CE branches and 80% in ETC and EEE. But due to the recession, it dropped drastically. The highest package provided on campus is 39LPA by media.net, taking only one student. The average salary used to be 12LPA which dropped to 7LPA due to the recession. The condition of placement cells is not good currently and many students are in doubt regarding their placements. Many are opting for higher studies or trying off campus.

Ya our course curriculum is also good here we are able to learn variety of subjects that help us for the placement in the 4th year... In the first we able to learn C programming in the 2 nd year we able to learn C++ and python...

Placement Experience:

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

Our campus is short but it is ver much Clean
Lies outside the city so we have less disturbance

Dislikes

We have a small ground for any sports related activities
It is situated near forest areas so seeing a snake or any other wild animals is usual

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is trying many efforts for the company visit. But the situation as of now it not favourable for placement. Last year highest placement was around 26lakhs Last to last year it was 38lakhs

I like the communication system between students and events happening in the college. For every events gonna happen you will get informed through your own college mail id.
The seniors are helpful. You will get assigned guid to help you throught out your college life.

Dislikes

I think some faculties lack quality. For the amount of institution fee it feels like a risk.
Sometimes the academic pressure is high. But you can manage it

Placement Experience:

The placements are decent. Compared to other IIITs it is this institute jas got a better placement. Of course we can't compare it with IITs but still competetive with slme avrage NITs. Generally 80-85 % students get placed. The average package is around 10 LPA. Again it will vary according to your branch and skills. The highest pavkege evr got was 48LPA. There are some good recruiters like Oracle, siemmens, Dell etc.

The hostel facilities are commendable, with the college ensuring cleanliness is maintained to high standards.
Seniors play a supportive role in all societies and clubs, offering guidance and assistance whenever needed.

Dislikes

Placement opportunities in core branches may not be as robust as in other fields.
Classrooms lack Air conditioning, which can pose challenges during the humid summers, especially given bhubaneswar's climate

Placement Experience:

Last year's placements were promising, with the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch securing an average package of approximately 18 LPA, while the Information Technology (IT) branch averaged around 19 LPA. For the Electronics and Telecommunication (ETC) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) branches, the average package were 13 LPA and 11 LPA respectively. Students become eligible for internships from their 3rd year onwards, with numerous renowed companies like Dell, Oracle,and Adobe conducting placement drives on campus. The highest package offered this year was 86 LPA by Oracle, with an average package of 12 LPA. The overall placement percentage stands at approximately 88%.

Hostel life experience ,got to know how to survive outside home
made new friends , learned many things from them made special bonds

Dislikes

campus size is very small , little to no exploration
no fitness oriented space provided ,no proper gym

Placement Experience:

Recently placement is not very good in our campus especially for my department (ETC).Average package is only 9 lpa plus no good or reputated companies are coming here for recruitment.Campus also doesnt help in obtaing any internships

Campus life is pretty much good as compared to other colleges i know

If faculty member would have been a little more qualified the it will be surely appreciated
The competition, you sometime feels that you are lagging and it can be toxic for you

Aspects as such are like the CSE branch of this esteemed college like IIIt was an honour and the crowd that come here are the top ones they are the creamiest crowd of this nation's bright mind. area of improvements dont find such just some things like more qualified faculty and better space to study

I really liked the junior senior culture. The helpful and supportive nature is really motivating.
I also liked the hostel facilities with good and clean rooms and washroom with frequent cleaning

Dislikes

I disliked the lazy nature of administration .
The inability to use efficient amount of college space

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester students become eligible for internships and from 7th semester they start getting placed. The stats were really good in the year 2022 but there was a fall in placement in the year 2023 due to recession. Generally 70 to 80 percent students get placed but not at a high package. I am mostly aiming for the internship and getting an offcampus placement so that I have better opportunities.
