Likes

Good sport's facilities , Fests and cultural programs are awesome, good environment, clean campus, class are not too far from hostels you can go through from your own, girls is to boys ration is decent, projects like car racing drone making etc are
They organise many sports tournaments throught the year which increases interaction with seniors.. as such no ragging in college..good infrastructure as buildings are so strong...
Good mess food...decent throught the year

Dislikes

Senior boy's hostels are prone to drink which is not good.
Accomodation problem for first year students (4 seater rooms)
Very strict academics which don't allow you to involve in extra curricular activities

Course Curriculum Overview

I will rate 4 out of 5 in terms of relevance..some subjects are there which are not relevant according to me.. exams gaps are there..you can prepare well in those gaps...but you have to start studying 10 days before the exam to ensure good marks

Class Size: 110Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Placement Experience

In starting of 7th semester... students mostly starts placing in good companies.. I don't have idea of companies visited In mechanical highest package was around 20 lpa and average was around 8 lakhs per annum..

Campus Life

Technity Utkansh Two tech and cultural fests of my collge.. Sports and extracurricular activities are very good...you can enjoy of you are interested in those activities.. NSS NCC are students run groups..

Hostel Facilities

table chair.. beds.. Fan.. LAN No wifi Meal and menu is decent... it's very good at starting and quality reduces day by day.. Online allotment of hostels no I took room in hostels itself.. BH2 is best in terms of meals

Admission

I almost applied for all the nits..but my rank was not well enough to get into those nits..I just got this collge by my luck.. Admission process is a too complex... you have to submit all documents before coming to collge in online portal..then you can a token number and you can continue your reporting

Faculty

Some faculties are awesome..some are not that good... Marking schemes for internal assessment is worst.. Difficulty of exam is decent..no easy paper you will get..you have to study to get marks.. Course curriculum is somewhat relevant..

Night Life

One zym in snackers One night canteen One Nescafe One campus cafe Yadav canteen Two library (new library is heaven) OAT and roaming around campus are hangout places for the couples.. Campus is closed so it's very safe.

inside campus walls

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students are leigible for placements. here lots and lots of companies visit. even all these companies dont visit every iit like d.e.shaw,jpmc , morgan stanley etc etc. well d.e.shaw didnt made offer from last 2 years to our campus but its ok there are literally 100 of companies that visit. highest package last year was 54 lakhs as sde in morgan stanley. if you belong to computer branch then placement percentage is almost 90% but for other branches its 50-60%. if i did not get the placement i will be applying for software engineer offcampus.

Brief About NITJ

I applied for PEC, Chitkara, CU, LPU and NITJ. Out of which I could have enrolled in anyone except PEC. I choose NITJ cause of its low fee, better placements and good reputation. I got rejected from PEC (punjab engineering college) as my JEE percentile was not sufficient. For Btech admissin you need a valid Jee rank and students are enrolled through Jossa portal....Read More

All about nit jalandhar

First there is exam like jee mains then after getting the result and cutoff list for the advance we will give advance exam after that there is a jossa counselling for both nit, iiit , iit and some gfti that government funded technical institute. We have to select the preference on that basis they provide a college there is 6 round of jossa. If suppose you get some college in 6 round and you don't like that college so you have another option that ia csab round in which all the participant can do counselling but iit are not participating in that counselling.thats all about for the counselling and for the reservation. There is a general , obc , sc , st , ews and pwd reservation. Now while talking about fees structure the fees of iiit is much higher and there is no. Relaxation in that after that while on nits there is a fee relaxation on sc or st student they didn't pay tution fee and for general , obc and ews student if income less than 1 lakh then 100% off for 5 lakh 50 % off all the best...Read More
