Likes

There is freedom to go anywhere and no academic pressure.
We are having a good placement percentage and package.
There are a lot of cultural activities will held here in every month.

Dislikes

The ratio of boys and girls here is 1:4.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is about geological technology. It is very good branch and there is academic pressure. There will be more time to learn . We are having very good teaching methods.we will have exams for every two months.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We will have campus internships and campus our internships .we can as many projects as we can. If we have any doubts regarding to that we can clarify with professors. They will give a good stipend. We can get internships in other countries also.

Placement Experience

Normally for 7 th semester most of the students here will qualify in placements with good packages. There are many international companies like Google , amazon , Schlumberger etc are here to give placements for students. Me after getting the degree definitely I will go to good company which pays me good salary.

Fees and Financial Aid

For year wise we have to pay 291600. We have to pay the fee in two semesters. Tution fees is 200000 per year and the remaining fees belongs to hostel,mess, development fees,lab fees ,etc. For management like sc,st there is no tution waiver .

Campus Life

We can take books from library . If we have any interest in games we can participate and play it. There are so many clubs are there if we are interested we can give the interview and they will select us. There is good facilities in classrooms.

Hostel Facilities

The college will provide hostel for every student who are studying here.We will have a bed,almirah , balcony, waranda and so many facilities. The meal quality is little bit not good compared to the other facilities here.we will have single,double,triple bed rooms .

Hostel Fee: INR 91600 per year

Admission

I wrote an exam named jee advanced and I qualified in it . I applied for counseling and I selected top iits in India and I choosen this one. And for my rank I got this branch and this college. We had struggle to reach here .

Faculty

The faculty deal very good with students .The faculties are very experienced.My favourite teacher is physics sir .His name is BK paatra. There is no sir that I don't like him. According to the semesters the subjects will vary . If we concentrate we can clear the exams easily.

Night Life

In every bhawan in iit roorkee we will have gym ,cafeterias,library etc . We can roam out in night . Thomson building is famous for many people here to visit it in nights.And after 2 at night radha krishna bhawan night is good to eat

Go there for the views, skip it if you have dreams of campus placement unless you're self-motivated.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is normal as standardized by the AICTE. The books are same as per the relevant subjects. The library is ill stocked so either borrow the books from seniors or get them from somewhere else. The curriculum doesn't prepare anyone for real world applications. The teaching methods could use a lot of upgradation.

Good place for your undergraduate degree

Placement Experience:

placements are good here with a avg package of 5 lakhs but students who work reall hard get placemnts more than 10 lakhs the highest package at my time was of 58 lakhs and many got 10-20 lakhs package as well so i say placements aare decent here. Companies such as oracle adobe palalto visits here and they give higher packages to students.

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. 1st year opinion of IIT Roorkee

I took admission from JEE (Main+Advance).Form could be found on NTA website. Some reservation benefits were , i got a bit higher brancher even though my rank was lower. Mains timing are morning shift and evening shift. As for advance it runs all day for 6 hours(with a break of 2 hour in between). Mains is easy , advance is a bit difficult....Read More
