Review of IITGN Physics department

Remarks :

IITGN is a progressive IIT and keeping that in mind we should appreciate all the efforts by our teachers and Staffs and students. Proper infrastructure will lead this institute to the top after a few days.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course structures are all right. But still, I think a little bit of modification is needed to The course structure. I think the lab work should be increased and the proper experimental lab is needed.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, they provide a Program called SRIP where the students from different colleges participate in the program, and they are provided 1000/- per week. This internship Continues for 2months. And our college students used to go to other institutions for internships.

Placement Experience :

Job placements are decent. Average salary ranging from 7 lakh per Annum to 60 Lakh per annum. It depends upon the companies — their requirements. Mostly Cs students got The highest packages. And other students are mostly tilted for startup.

College Events :

1.Jashan( Festive of indoor games ) 2. Halla Bol( Festive of sports ) 3.Ignite( Robotics ) 4. Winter Carnival 5. Blitchron(Fest) 6. Diwali 7. Prom Night. Nevertheless, Holi is celebrated, Blitchron is our fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees structure is a little bit expensive. We have to pay 15000/- for flooding and lodging and 35,000 For academics purpose. Also, the laundry the The Charge is included. 5000 is caution money. This fees included everything.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarships are mostly merit -cum scholarship. Top 10% students get this scholarship. Institute provides loans for needy students without any extra interest. Credits can Be quickly approved. They don't put any pressure on the students for repayment of the loan

Campus Life :

Lab and sports activities are perfect. Since its a new institution, so it is progressing very fast. We have interdisciplinary research labs, cricket grounds, football grounds, Volleyball courts, Hockey field, basketball court, table tennis court etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel infrastructure is awesome. Every hostel is the 3rd-floored hostel. Hostels are almost attached. We are getting a lift facility and Ac facility in our hostels. No such restrictions. Always under the supervision of surveillance cameras and security guard.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni members are fantastic; we miss them. Since they were our mentors, we always get them near in our Ups and downs. Still, when we meet them, we recall our old days, and they used to share their experiences with us.

Exam Structure :

Whole semester is divided into two significant exams (mid sem and end sem). There are some graded quizzes and assignments into the course structures. Most of the reviews are standard exams, and some of them are open-note exams.

Admission :

First of all I competed in Jam exam(2017). After securing a decent rank I got an offer letter from IITP and then I upgraded my counsel king and after that IITGN offered me for Masters and I accepted that offered letter.

Faculty :

Faculty members are active in their topics. They are good researchers also good teachers. They help us academically and always motivate us to perform well In every aspect. Also, they are friendly with students.

Placement Experience:

Last semester students are eligible for campus placements. Abundant of companies visit Uka Tarsadia University that are mentioned on its official Website. Highest package is 10Lpa and minimum is 2Lpa. Placement rate depends upon the department of course for example, BSc IT has 100% placement rate. I'll surely go for research purposes after my post graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is excellent in every way! The course, which I did was of Life Sciences, and it's curriculum was absolutely wonderful! The syllabus had been designed such that it perfectly aligned with the syllabus of various exams, such as CSIR, GATE etc. And also, for the end semester dissertation, our university allowed us to pursue it from any other institute or university if we wish to, and encouraged us to do so. And because of that I did my dissertation research from SLS, JNU, in cancer biology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is in fact meticulously designed for students to take them through everything, every topic in an explicit way. All the topics are designed to build a strong academic character for every student. Although it's limited and some topics such as plasma were never covered.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of my course is specifically made to look at the field of food technology in the direction of forensic science making it unique. The course comes with a specialisation of forensic food analysis which prepares us to bring the world safer food. With the availability and hands on training of analytical instruments, the curriculum prepares the students better for real-time applications and makes it more interesting to dvelve into the field of research. Exams are conducted regularly which include all kinds of activities rather than just the theoretical writing. The difficulty level of examinations in my experience is significantly moderate. 4 sets of examinations are conducted per semester including the end semester examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is really good and balanced. Some other topics have been added now. Sports psychology and military psychology are also in the consideration to add up on the curriculum. Rest theoretical knowledge of various brain imaging techniques and also the complete anatomy of brain and nervous system is introduced here. Availablity of EEG machine, fNIRS and Neurofeedback make the course more fascinating and convincing to opt.

Placement Experience:

Students from the last semester or last year are eligible for the campus placement. Companies like L&T, sun pharma, Tata, Bajaj etc used to participate in the campus placement. The highest package is about 15 lacs per annum. And the average package is about 2 -3 lacs per annum. If I talk about the percentage of students getting placement is more than 50%. My plans after getting the degree are to start up my own business.

Remarks:

I have already written everything I know and I feel good or bad for my college above. But a positive remark is that environment is very good, it is my fifth year in this college and I haven't seen any ragging conducted by the students. And the negative remark would be the politics, student's are focusing more on the political activity than on studies and encouraging students from outside of the college to enter the college premises. Strict checking of ID cards should be conducted each and every day and if a student is caught without an ID card strict actions must be taken.
