Course Curriculum Overview

3

Specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course was only because of field work and practical works. the curriculum doesn't prepares me for real-world applications or further academic pursuits. Not much proper practical knowledge is provided. areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods are they should focus on being friendly and approachablebto students . And make students aware of outside world. frequency and timing of exams along with my perspective on their difficulty level is very worst as they say 6 months are to be provided for each sem but finish every semester exam in 3 month due to which students studies are greatly hampered

Placement Experience

2

From 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Very less companies are visiting now a days like Accenture and thry provide average of 300000 per year package. Highest is offered to master course students with highest cgpa package of 8-10 lpa. I have seen a 10-15%students getting placements. Others don't want placement because of its less package and rude behaviour of placement cell

Fees and Financial Aid

The year-wise fees i paid 180000rupees Tuition fees-90000per semester, caution fees-5000, registration fees-50000, admission fees-75000 which was later added in fees payment of semester, development fees none, lab fees none and the other compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category were none as I was from general category.fees of my batchmates for categories other than mine for hostel batchmates the are charged extra 90000 per year for hostel fees with other charges that I wrote above. Financial services none scholarship depends upon management system as it's not always available

Campus Life

4

The names of the annual and technical festivals are arrna, sarswati and Ganesh puja, fresher party along with the months they are typically held are oct-feb only the farewell party is held during june-september. overview of sports and extracurricular activities offered on campus are they offer a annual sports meet named soa cup.clubs are there but not managed properly because of hectic schedule for the students.

Admission

I choose this college over other only because of the less availability of agriculture colleges. I applied in ouat but failed to get as the exam were tough and I can't wait 1 more yaer for getting admission into that govt college.the admission process is simple give a online saat exam which is only specific for soa college. Then reserve your seat by paying 50000 and cutoff are 60% and more. Procces is not much complicated

Faculty

3

faculty-to-student ratio is good. the faculty to student relationship are good but not everyone is nice many are rude and approachable faculties are selected ones only. Entomology, seedtech, economics and horticulture faculties are bit good and have approachable attitude towards students.other than them all other have rude faculties. There are a total 8 semester exam last two are only practical based. Many students fail in some semester as they tell that each semester is of 6 month but complete them in three months along with semester exams how can the students finish the curriculum. The syllabus now introduced is a bit good but the syllabus I am studying and was studied by my seniors were very lengthy and not much updated.

Night Life

4

gym-none, cafeterias small one can't accommodate its own course students, library is their with wide book and journal range and public area closing/ off is 5-6pm. hostel and campus in timings are hostelers are not allowed outside after 6 pm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture is one of the important and relevant subjects out of all. If we say about Indian context then most of the people are dependent on agriculture. So in India it's relevance is very high. This curriculum consists all type of subjects like agronomy, soil science, economics, marketing, pathology, genetics and breeding, horticulture etc. this course is more based on practical than the theory. In our curriculum the mid sem occurs in the middle of the semester which is approx march in winter semester and in September- october in monsoon semester and the end semester exam held in end of the semester which is in December in monsoon semester and may in winter semester.

I generally loved how they showed they give 100% placements. But there is not any. The teaching methods however is very good as they give us mainly practical knowledge and skill based education. Which really helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As India is a agricultural country most people depends on agriculture so I choose this course that I think it might have more scope. Through this course, we covered both theory and practice; we planted crops, prepared the field, applied manure to the soil, and irrigated the field. The difficulty is not too hard, and there are about 4 exams in a year, which is very good. In this course we must visit the village and interact with village people know their problems and try to find solutions. In our college we are less interactive with village farmers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Agriculture course is highly vast and informative. This course actually provides economic knowledge about the food we consume in our daily life and also provides the information about how they are grown and taken care of by our hardworking farmers. And talking about the difficulty level it's actually easy and we just have to get involved in this course as much as we can. Improvement this course requires is to give proper guidance to our farmers and also to provide them with proper wages they deserve.
