Course Curriculum Overview :

As India is a agricultural country most people depends on agriculture so I choose this course that I think it might have more scope. Through this course we covered both theory as well as practical,we plants crops prepare field ,apply manures to soil, irrigate the field. The difficulty is not too hard and there are about 4 exam in a year which is very good. In this course we must visit the village and interact with village people know their problems and try to find solutions. In our college we are less interactive with village farmers.

Campus Life :

In the month of June in our college we celebrate annual day and the next Day is DJ night . It's very enjoyable and everyone enjoyed a lot. There is a library in our college and every book related to agriculture is available in the library and once issued you can keep with for 15 days and after that you have to renew it. Smart class room with smart board and AC in classroom. We have a basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court and cricket field in our campus.

For hostel you have to pay average of ?15000 per year.

Admission :

I have opted for college of agriculture bhubaneswar but due to my rank I didn't got bhubaneswar and I got college of agriculture Chiplima. There was another college i.e. college of agriculture bhawanipatana I didn't choosed this because at the time of my admission in bhawanipatana college there is no ICAR accreditation so , I choose Chiplima college. I have only opt for OUAT so I didn't get rejection from any colleges. The admission process in OUAT is first they conduct a entrance examination then, according to rank students select their branches.Their are several branches in OUAT like veterinary, fishery, agriculture, horticulture, forestry, b.tech agriculture, community science etc . Eligibility is in +2 PCM or PCB and career mark of 10th class and 12th class added in total mark. OUAT entrance total mark 200. 25% from 10th class and 25% from 12th class and 50% from entrance. For getting a seat in OUAT the student must have a good career mark otherwise it will be very difficult.

Faculty :

About 25 to 30 faculties in our college and students about 250. some faculties are very interactive and some are just do their job means they complete their course and not interactive at all.in a year there is 2 semester and in each semester 2 exam one is mid semester and another external exam practical exam also there. Almost all students passed the exam and this course is related to agriculture about the crops ,pest , climatic conditions, soils, genetics, breeding, plant physiology etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is little old fashioned but this year it has changed for agriculture students with addition of more 60 seats which makes it total 180 students with addition and deletion of subjects and integrating it with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Sudarshan kriya which gives peace of mind.

Placement Experience:

We become eligible for placement after 3yrs of college. the college provides various opportunities to participate in various internships and help to collect certificates which helps in good cv reports. After completing the course there are many opportunities available for agriculture students after bsc. So I will try for competitive jobs after my completion of my BSc.
