Remarks :

If you are getting IIT Roorkee in your counseling after qualifying GATE/JEE/JAM go for it without a second thought. Since the environment of the IITs helps in grooming our personalities to the next level. Trust me No private institute can give such a good facility.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum of the IIT Roorkee is designed as industrial and academics oriented. That means it helps in both industrial exposures as well as if you are interested in teaching you will easily get a job. So very nicely course structure for the wellness of the students as well as our country.

Placement Experience :

Obviously, IITs are famous for their good job and placements. The average package of the IIT Roorkee is better than other private and engineering colleges in India. IIT Roorkee a position of 10th in the list of top elite IITs in India.

College Events :

There are more than 10 Bhawans in IIT Roorkee and every bhawan has its own Bhawan day. One major function named as Thomso is also celebrated every year. Other than this sometimes occasional basis like Engineers day, Teachers day these are also celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure of the IITs for Ph.D. I do not think is a major concern. However B.tch guys Have to pay an expensive fees. But I do not think that should be again any concern for them. Since they are going to get a high job package.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For PhDs MHRD, DST, and CSIR provides funds. However, for the Student Exchange program, IIT Roorkee takes funding from MHRD and Germany, and Australia. The only condition is you must be eligible for that scholarship.

Campus Life :

Labs are very good at IIT Roorkee. Every lab has a lab attendant who helps in experimental and all. When it si comes to sports IIT Roorkee have proved themselves best among other IITs. For extracurricular activities, IIT Roorkee has different securities to handle the activity. Spicmacay also colaabortae to help them.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility of the IIT Roorkee is an outstanding comparison to other colleges. Since IIT Roorkee comes in Roorkee a district of Uttrakhand, it is near Haridwar. Even during the summer seasons, you would not feel much warm compared to other engineering colleges of the northern region.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni of the IIT Roorkee are always I touch. Sometimes through mail or maybe via direct phone call. If any senior is not in touch, then alumni day which is celebrated by students is contacted via students. Alumni from IIT Roorkee are supposed to be in touch via different modes. IIT Roorkee also invites for motivational talks.

Admission :

Getting a Ph.D. in IITs is depends on your research area and your interest. I have done my M.Tech from IIT Hyderabad after which I applied for Ph.D. admission to IIT Roorkee. Where followed by a technical interview I got admission. I have qualified GATE-2013 and GATE-2017 however, Being an M.tech degree holder from IIT Hyderabad helped me a lot in getting a Ph.D. Although, these days GATE is not mandatory for Ph.D. admission if you are an M.Tech degree holder.

Faculty :

Faculties from the IIT Roorkee are very experienced and they do not bother even work after 6 pm. All the faculties have been studied from elite colleges. Their knowledge makes students curious and promotes them for new inventions.

PHD at IIT Roorkee

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placement from their final year however some students also get PPO from the internships they do. Hu dreds of companies visit in a single placement session and the package may vary from lakhs to crores (not for phd)

I love my college years.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester of the course, the students are eligible for the college placement session. We all know that the IITs are known for their campus placements with very high packages for Jobs. The college placement quality is awesome because the institution is the best university, and placement also has a very high percentage. The college has a record of 85 percent selection in Placement and the remaining 15% are those who leave the placement sessions to do something else or open any start-up. The college's highest placement offer is 2 crore per annum and the average wage placement is 30- 35 lacs per annum. The main recruiting companies are Snapdragon, Amazon, Google, etc. My plans are different I want to become a college professor.

There are number of criteria to select this institution such as; Good in research output/ Best faculty/ My research interest area match with faculty specialization area / High ranking NIRF/ Near to hometown/ Good reputation/ World class living standards/ Easy to access databases

Admission:

To get admission first, you have to clear the GATE examination. According to the GATE score, the final list is prepared, and the departments call for written examination and interview. Everyone has to face an interview.

Everything was very well managed and adequate facilities have been provided throughout the stay be it related to academic or extra curriculum.

Admission:

After b.tech. in engineering, one needs to appear for all India entrance examination GATE, which is held mostly in the months of February and March. After clearing the exam one can get admission in M. Tech. or direct Ph. D. based on the score in exam and B. Tech percentage/cgpa.

Its the best Institute

Admission:

The applicant must have cleared NET JRF to get admission in the PhD program at CSIR. Only top rank holders are offered a seat since there are only 10 seats for the program. I was preparing for the NET exam for almost one year. I was lucky to secure the rank.

Placement Experience:

CSIR has pretty good placement records. A PhD student will earn during his doctorate, and even post that, a package equivalent to those “high paying” corporate jobs.

Remarks:

The college infrastructure is best, However, the location is not good as compared to IIT Delhi or Mumbai. Moreover, the weather condition is extreme here. The management is good and they care too much for the students.
