Course Curriculum Overview :

As I had a passion for higher studies so I opted for a PhD program at IIT Roorkee. Being an IIT the professors here are very well qualified and good student-to-faculty ratio the examination is here done on time and are moderate

Class Size : 10Course Fees : INR 420000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are several internship opportunities available but basically, it depends on person to person how willing and adamant they are towards getting an internship I currently can't list out the companies and the stipend they offer but it varies

Placement Experience :

The students are eligible for placement from their final year however some students also get PPO from the internships they do. Hu dreds of companies visit in a single placement session and the package may vary from lakhs to crores (not for phd)

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure currently for a PhD program is 42000 which includes all the facilities also messa and hostel. now as a research school, you get a stipend of rupees thirty-one thousand from the MHRD which can cover the costs

Campus Life :

The campus life is great here, there are two main fests cognizant and Thomso which are very amazing. The library here is super big and has all the books that one might need. The campus has all the sports facilities including several clubs

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is quite good the hostel is all in very good shape the infrastructure is quite good and the maintenance is very fast. The mess and canteen have good and hygienic food at affordable rates

Hostel Fee : INR 15000 per year

Admission :

I gave the GATE examination because for getting into phd programme at IIT Roorkee you must be gate qualified and then the interview process is very important as everything depends on the interview. Overall the process is very smooth

I love my college years.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester of the course, the students are eligible for the college placement session. We all know that the IITs are known for their campus placements with very high packages for Jobs. The college placement quality is awesome because the institution is the best university, and placement also has a very high percentage. The college has a record of 85 percent selection in Placement and the remaining 15% are those who leave the placement sessions to do something else or open any start-up. The college's highest placement offer is 2 crore per annum and the average wage placement is 30- 35 lacs per annum. The main recruiting companies are Snapdragon, Amazon, Google, etc. My plans are different I want to become a college professor.

PhD course review of IIT Roorkee.

Remarks:

One of the top IITs with good infrastructure and location. Near to my hometown with nice research facilities and helpful faculties. Ambience of this college is very nice. Being a research scholar in such prestigious university is a matter of pride.

Remarks:

Everything was very well managed and adequate facilities have been provided throughout the stay be it related to academic or extra curriculum.

Admission:

After b.tech. in engineering, one needs to appear for all India entrance examination GATE, which is held mostly in the months of February and March. After clearing the exam one can get admission in M. Tech. or direct Ph. D. based on the score in exam and B. Tech percentage/cgpa.

Its the best Institute

Admission:

The applicant must have cleared NET JRF to get admission in the PhD program at CSIR. Only top rank holders are offered a seat since there are only 10 seats for the program. I was preparing for the NET exam for almost one year. I was lucky to secure the rank.

Placement Experience:

CSIR has pretty good placement records. A PhD student will earn during his doctorate, and even post that, a package equivalent to those “high paying” corporate jobs.

Admission:

Getting a Ph.D. in IITs is depends on your research area and your interest. I have done my M.Tech from IIT Hyderabad after which I applied for Ph.D. admission to IIT Roorkee. Where followed by a technical interview I got admission. I have qualified GATE-2013 and GATE-2017 however, Being an M.tech degree holder from IIT Hyderabad helped me a lot in getting a Ph.D. Although, these days GATE is not mandatory for Ph.D. admission if you are an M.Tech degree holder.
