The things I liked as a ad department students there are proper machines for us to work in the lab ..we do have proper working ac in the class and over all ratio of girls and boys is 70:30
We have our canteen where everything is available for eating at a good price

They take extra fees for re jury and don't even bother about our idms
Nift is a profit making institute...they earn a lot of money from us

Course Curriculum Overview :

I took ad department because ad is a very diverse dept in which u get to learn a lot u have many options open for u ..u have alot of fields to work in it ...they teach us jewellery design, product designing and even ui ux so it's a very diverse subject.

Class Size : 41Course Fees : INR 2027 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure and scholarship structure at Nift delhi for bachelors of design There are different departments but the fees for all departments are same The fees is always around 1.69 or something in sem 1,3,5,7 and in sem 2,4,6,8 the fees is comparatively less and secondly they do give scholarship but they have a proper procedure to follow and it's hard to get a scholarship..there is no waive off for other category students the fees is same for all categories

Campus Life :

Over all experience is there's is lot of work in nift there are less events only some specific events are held like onam mahalaya and converge and spectrum the main event of nift and exibhitions keep on going on craft day and many days like theses ...the club involvement is nice the clubs work a lot

Admission :

I choose nift as I know they teach us product designing and I was very passionate about product designing so I choose this college as it is a top most college in the world of fashion in india ...nift delhi has its own value in the whole market of colleges who are providing b.des course ...and for coming into nift yes u need to give the exam ..most probably the forms will be out in October or November and the exam pattern is little hard u will have 3 exams GAT ,CAT and situation test ..GAT and CAT will be held on one day and if u pass in both of them then ur eligible to sit for situation test then according to ur AIR ( all over India rank) and according to ur category u will be allocated to different campus and course as per ur preferences

Faculty :

The faculty members are good helpful tries that students learn and they do give a lot of assignments and faculty members are well experienced to explain us things and they do have a very good eye to catch our mistakes and many things they force us to think they help us to change our thinking level to the highest

Placement Experience:

As I know, in the third year, they will offer you an intership for 1-3 months and at the end of your course, they will provide you a job under well-known companies. My plans after completing my course i will like to work for 1-2 years under the company which will be provided by the college, after getting some experience i will start my own business.

Innovation and creativity at it's best

Remarks:

There are both positive and negative points. College is really very good if you're looking for career in Fashion industry then NIFT is best college under Ministry of Textiles. Negative point is only fees in my view.

Pros - big well maintained campus, alumni network, industry reputation, Cons- large intake of students, faculty, fees, slightly overrated If you are delhiite than 85% seats are reserved for you and this college is worth going for but if you are an outside Delhi candidate than Dtu is not worth the efforts that you have put in

Entrance Preview:

Pearl conducts its personal entrance exam and a interview trough which I went. The marks were not revealed, I just got a mail which congratulated me and welcomed me to the course.

Placement Experience:

Entrance Preview:

NIFT has its specific entrance exam which is divided in 2 parts. Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test which is conducted for 5 hours.After clearing these two tests,the candidate moves on to the situation test which is basically 3D modelling,on the basis of a given situation and materials handed,we have to come up with a model.

Admission:

As I have previously mentioned,NIFT has its specific entrance exam which is divided in 2 parts:Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test which is conducted for 5 hours.Creative Ability tests your creative skills whereas GAT tests your grammar,mathematical and general knowledge.After clearing this test,I moved on to the situation test,I was given some raw material and 4-5 themes to choose from.
