Remarks :

NIFT is overall good also it provides you exposure to fashion industry it is still on one of the best in the world its a special experience being in NIFT. It moulds you in such a way that you can face any problems in your life. You are free to express yourself and your interest of area. Faculties encourage you in all the aspects.

Course Curriculum Overview :

A lot of extra curricular activities happens like inter department fest where you get to compete with other departments of the college and it's a platform to showcase your talents. There is a basketball court and a volleyball court in the girls hostel. Indoor stadium for badminton and table tennis.

Placement Experience :

Nift offers Campus Placement at the end of Fourth year before final exams placement is of three days around 200 companies come for placements companies include from well settled startups to big brands like Pantaloons, Reliance, Adidas, Blackberrys etc highest Placement according to year 2015 was 12 lakh / annum placement offers salaries from 3lakh /annum to 15 lakh/annum.

College Events :

There are three clubs in NIFT sports cultural social literary and dramatics events fresh face freshers party, august spectrum happens in february cultural event and games converge happens at the end of the year december Inter nift college sports and cultural event.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are very good. I'll give a 9/10 for the hostel facilities. You have AC and non AC rooms and room cleaning facility weekly available. Washing clothes facility available. And there is a night canteen inside the hostel which is open till 2 am. There is a beauty saloon available inside the hostel. Food is okay.

Admission :

I gave NIFT entrance exam i ranked no. 4 in the exam i opted for this particular college because I wanted to something different, something more inspiring and creative well engineering was a path everyone tells you to take and my family was made of engineers NIFT offered creative courses and also gives you a chance to make a name.

Faculty :

The faculties in the college are very friendly and helpful. They help you in all aspects. You can ask their help anytime without hesitating. They are always there to guide you and teach you. They are more of a friend than faculty.

Placement Experience:

As I know, in the third year, they will offer you an intership for 1-3 months and at the end of your course, they will provide you a job under well-known companies. My plans after completing my course i will like to work for 1-2 years under the company which will be provided by the college, after getting some experience i will start my own business.

My college is good regarding of its location in Patna. We do have a difficult time while sourcing. We even have to travel to other cities for it.

Innovation and creativity at it's best

Remarks:

There are both positive and negative points. College is really very good if you're looking for career in Fashion industry then NIFT is best college under Ministry of Textiles. Negative point is only fees in my view.

Pros - big well maintained campus, alumni network, industry reputation, Cons- large intake of students, faculty, fees, slightly overrated If you are delhiite than 85% seats are reserved for you and this college is worth going for but if you are an outside Delhi candidate than Dtu is not worth the efforts that you have put in

Entrance Preview:

Pearl conducts its personal entrance exam and a interview trough which I went. The marks were not revealed, I just got a mail which congratulated me and welcomed me to the course.

Placement Experience:

Pearl excels in placing their students. The previous year percentage of placement of the luxury batch was 99% in all the leading luxury and fashion brands in India like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Versace, Armani, Cartier, Sabyasachi and many more. The students are personally asked for their preference of the industry in which they want to work, be it the fashion industry, the food or beverage industry or the luxury service industry.

Entrance Preview:

NIFT has its specific entrance exam which is divided in 2 parts. Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test which is conducted for 5 hours.After clearing these two tests,the candidate moves on to the situation test which is basically 3D modelling,on the basis of a given situation and materials handed,we have to come up with a model.

Admission:

As I have previously mentioned,NIFT has its specific entrance exam which is divided in 2 parts:Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test which is conducted for 5 hours.Creative Ability tests your creative skills whereas GAT tests your grammar,mathematical and general knowledge.After clearing this test,I moved on to the situation test,I was given some raw material and 4-5 themes to choose from.
