Remarks :

There is two levels of entrence exam i.e. written and sitution . written consist of CAT and GAT . CAT means creative abilitie test and GAT means general amplitude test . CAT consist 3 question , 2 of 30 marks and 1 of 40 marks . GAT consist of maths 15 marks , reasoning 15 marks , general knowledge 15 marks , english 55 marks with negative marking of 1/4 marks . CAT is of 50 % marks , GAT is of 30 % and on this first result will be prepared and the persion who qulified are able to seat for the second round i.e sitution test of 20 % marking

Course Curriculum Overview :

Faculty members are very supportive and they help us on every step. Course offered are B.des ( accessories designing, fashion designing, knitwear designing , textile designing, fashion communication, leather designing ) , BFTec , M.Des, MFM,

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are many internship opportunities after the 3rd year which can be stipend base or unpaid just for knowledge or to increase your industry knowledge. all the internships are to be offered in your parent department.

Placement Experience :

placement is done after the completion of the course or after the 3rd year. But every student dont take placement some of them start their own bussiness / start-up or engage in their family bussiness.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total fee for 1 year is approx 300000 for 4 year. scholarship opportunity is for all the student who fall under the yearly family income under 4 lakhs . there are three category . First who fall undr 1.5 lakhs offered 100 % off on titution fee, second is under 1.5 to 2.5 lakhs offered 75 % off on titution fee , third is under 2.5 to 4 lakhs offered 50 % off on titution fee.

Campus Life :

I personally like my campus life every person here is helpful. There are 4 clubs i.e. cultural club, social club, sports club , literary club and many groups like arambh from drama, salt and Dhara for dance , rang for music, etc

Placement Experience:

As I know, in the third year, they will offer you an intership for 1-3 months and at the end of your course, they will provide you a job under well-known companies. My plans after completing my course i will like to work for 1-2 years under the company which will be provided by the college, after getting some experience i will start my own business.

Innovation and creativity at it's best

Remarks:

There are both positive and negative points. College is really very good if you're looking for career in Fashion industry then NIFT is best college under Ministry of Textiles. Negative point is only fees in my view.

Pros - big well maintained campus, alumni network, industry reputation, Cons- large intake of students, faculty, fees, slightly overrated If you are delhiite than 85% seats are reserved for you and this college is worth going for but if you are an outside Delhi candidate than Dtu is not worth the efforts that you have put in

Pearl conducts its personal entrance exam and a interview trough which I went. The marks were not revealed, I just got a mail which congratulated me and welcomed me to the course.

Placement Experience:

Entrance Preview:

NIFT has its specific entrance exam which is divided in 2 parts. Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test which is conducted for 5 hours.After clearing these two tests,the candidate moves on to the situation test which is basically 3D modelling,on the basis of a given situation and materials handed,we have to come up with a model.

Admission:

As I have previously mentioned,NIFT has its specific entrance exam which is divided in 2 parts:Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test which is conducted for 5 hours.Creative Ability tests your creative skills whereas GAT tests your grammar,mathematical and general knowledge.After clearing this test,I moved on to the situation test,I was given some raw material and 4-5 themes to choose from.
