Dislikes
- The crowd is not very accepting or indulgent . But there are people who you can learn from . Find them
- Placement is taken very seriously here . More than 50 companies line up for recruitment. Even though the package is not high as per the course fees but in this sector they provide the best .
Course Curriculum Overview :
1. Placement opportunities. In a time where job crisis is high . There's 80 percent chance you'll get placed in a good company with potential for growth 2. Practical skills and knowledge enhancement 3. Course prepares for hotel industry in apt way . Industrial training which is paid and in good hotels provide you with hands-on experience of work environment and conditions in hotels .
Internships Opportunities :
1. Industrial exposure training College provides with companies that takes interviews and selects for pain internship which is compulsory. The students can go for other hotels but the college must provide internship to the students .
Placement Experience :
1. Some students get offer letters during second year if they show excellence in guest service . 2. 5th to 6th semester 3. Big hote groups like IHCL , THE OBEROIS ,ITC , HYATT REGENCY,JW MARRIOT ,NOVOTEL,THE PARK all big players of the field come for placement talk and placement here Big retailers like RARE RABBIT,MAC DONALDS , KFC,DOMINOS and other big retails companies recruit for management trainee and operational trainee Almost 80 percent students get placed . Highest average package has went upto 6 lpa during training period by some retail companies . I plan on to join hotel as a chef and then opt for masters abroad if possible
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Total feel for 1st sem is 96515 which is inclusive of tuition fee, registration fee etc . After this we need to pay 78000 per sem . So the total fees is accumulated to be 486515 rs only. There are various scholarships available as per category in the website of the college . This is a government institution under the Ministry of tourism , government of India .
Campus Life :
1. Gourmet night ( biggest events of college . Sponsored by big liquor brands like Bacardi . Prestigious ministers , GM's ,chefs are present . Culinary expertise is shown. 2.library is available for students with AC facilities . 3. All smart classrooms 4. Basketball and badminton court present . There are various clubs . Be it culturals ,arts,poetry ,and others
Hostel Facilities :
1. One single bed , wardrobe, fan ,lights , shelfs , washroom 2. Very nice meals .4 times meals with variation.ofc being a hotel management college. 3. Rank wise allotment for hostel and quite affordable for Kolkata 4. Nearby residential area available which is safe and affordable
Admission :
1. Less costly than other colleges 2. Very good reputation 3. Fully government 4. Very good placements 5. Faculty is top notch 6. Paid internship 7. College provides chance for internship Admission process is a national exam called nchm jee ..wherein good rank makes you eligible for all government ihms present in almost all states . I didn't apply for any other colleges .
Faculty :
Faculty to students ratio is apt . There are 50 students per class and 5 groups . So reach is much more . The teaching is personalised and appropriate. Teachers are devoted and extremely serious about academics and practicals which is highly important in this field. Miss Rita Mitra (HOD) Mr shubhadip Saha Mrs Sohini Basu These teachers are the gems of college . Extremely helpful ,kind and guides you like their own child . There are 2 exams per semester . One mid term and one end sem . Exams are easy if you prepare good enough . The course itself is not at all tough but there are some hurdles along the road but nothing unachievable.
