Remarks :

It is very neat and clean. Girls locker rooms and cleaned by the girl stewards. Floors and walls are cleaned daily. housekeeping students also have to clean the staircases in their practical class.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This is a 3 years course. There will be 6 semesters and 6 mid term exams. Mid term exams are taken by the college teachers but the semester question papers are made by the board. In semester exam you must give both theory and practical exams. Grooming is very essential here.

Class Size : 300Course Fees : INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience :

The college almost offers a 100% placements. But if anyone don't get any job after all the interviews. The teachers also help them for walkin interviews. And students have to go for a internship ina 5 star hotel property in their 3/4 semester.

College Events :

During winter there is a week every students and teachers are enjoying, called sports week. Followed by another 7 days of cultural week. Gourmet nite is the Eastern India's largest food festival hosted by our college. Here we serve varieties of foods to the guests.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is feasible in compare with private colleges. The college don't charge any unnecessary charges here and there. You have to pay the fees of ignou exam separately while filling the form of ignou exams. If you are reappearing for any subject you have to pay for that.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have not opted for any scholarship or educational loan. But one of my friend has the educational loan. For that reason he didn't pay the fees through online. So that he can get the chalan to show to the loan office.

Campus Life :

There are separate washrooms and locker rooms for boys and girls. There is no union or politics inside the college. During winter there is a week every students and teachers are enjoying, called sports week. Followed by another 7 days of cultural week.

Hostel Facilities :

No. I was not staying in hostels. But many of my classmates were. The hostel rules are very strict for both boys and girls. Girls are not allowed to stay outside of the hostel after 7 pm and for boys it is 8 pm.

Hostel Fee : INR 20000 per yearExternal Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

You can reach any of the senior students any time you want. And they are ready to guide you in every moment. As rhere is no union in the college all students are bonded closely.

Admission :

Apply for NCHMCT exam. The forms are generally out around December. This is a very good college if you are willing to study hotel management. Score as good as you can in the entrance exam so that you can get a chance for the counsellings. The entrance exam is really very easy. Just use your general knowledge.

Faculty :

The college timing is from 9am to 5 pm. You must reach the college before 9 otherwise you will not be allowed to attend the classes and don't think it is cool because you have to secure a minimum of 75% attendance every semester. Otherwise the student cannot sit for the semester exam.

IHM Kolkata an experience

Placement Experience:

The campus selection starts from 05th sem onwards. Lots of companies visit some are:- Taj, Oberios, Leela, HHI, ITC, Dominoes, Pizza Hut, CCD, Starbucks, Fairmont etc. I dont remeber the highest package amount but it was around 30k. 95% students got placement and for those who had difficulty getting placed the faculties would help them find internship or job through their reference. I completed my degree back in 2013 and got placement through the college and started working.
