Course Curriculum Overview :

The syllabus is upto date with the changing hotel industry and how to adapt to it. IHM provides enough industrial exposure as students take up industrial training for a whole semester. The faculty is very skilled and try to maintain the decorum of the college to its best.

Class Size : 350Course Fees : INR 395150 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The Park hotel -1150. One has to go through a group discussion process after which the candidates are shortlisted for the personal interview round. Those who qualify the personal interview get the internship.

Placement Experience :

All the top 5 star hotels from Kolkata interview people from the college for placements. Some of our alumni have started up a business as a fast food truck in the campus itself. Majority of the students get placed in top hotels in India.

College Events :

The college hosts food fests where the students themselves put up stalls of different cuisines. There are sports fests and also fests that have a cultural theme like 'Ek shaam Gujrat k naam'. People from other IHMs and IIHMs participate in these too.

Campus Life :

There is a ground for football and cricket, a basketball court and also a badminton court. The college is equipped with wifi and library and adequate equipments for the practical classes. The kitchen has enough ingredients and cooking equipments for the students and also food service equipments.

The curriculum is well developed and the major areas of learning are adequately addressed. It has prepared students for practice as well as for further education. I wanted to point at such aspects of teaching design that need to be developed : offerings of practical projects and a greater focus on interactive teaching methods.
