Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is regularly updated to reflect current industry trends and demands The availability of interdisciplinary courses allow for a broader learning experience Vips provides us the opportunity to experience real life experiences of people in various fields! They promote practical knowledge through real life simulations Vips offers a wide range of elective courses and specializations would allow students to tailor their education more closely to their career goals

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee of vips depends on the course we choose like my course BJMC my avg fee is 1.15.000 and it differs every year abd can differ for different courses! Apart from this there are some additional fees for every book we take from the library or for the functions that take place in our college Vips doesn't provide hostel services to the students and hence non delhi students need to stay in pgs which also add up to their expenses Vips provide exceptionally good career opportunities and various mncs/ reputated companies come in 3rd year

Campus Life :

My overall experience is extremely good! The teachers are very friendly! The students are from good families and hence I really like the crowd. The campus is very clean and safe with perfect safety measures as a police car is always standing outside our college! The canteen is nicely kept with coolers for Summers and the entire college is centralised and every room has Acs for summers and the life in vips is very comfortable! There are fests in our College in every 2 months and various clubs are there for us to experience and improve our addition skills and interests! Hence vips as a college is a complete Package for everyone and one can never get bored in this college

Admission :

To get into this college every student has to give an entrance exam! After that whatever ranks we get decides which college we can get into! The better the rank the better are the chances for us to get into vips! We have 2 internals and 2 externals! Internals are comparetively difficult as the teachers want us to study for the toughest questions According to me! I feel that the admission process can be improved by giving fair chance to all for example i got a rank 137 and i am from delhi and i got admission in vips on the very first round however a friend of mine who is not from Delhi got a rank 120 and got admission in vips in the 2nd round hence i feel a better opportunity should be given even to a non delhi student

Faculty :

The teachers are very cooperative and they clear all our doubts as many times as we want them to Mostly all the teachers have done PHD and for my course almost all the teachers have worked with some or the other media agencies hence they have their own experiences to share with us

Other Applied Colleges

Kamla Nehru College for Women - [KNC] | Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication [B.J.M.C.]

I thought vips is better

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Journalism Honours, this course very practical based which requires real life exposure. Faculty is preparing us from the 1st semester for real life exposures we have given assignments like real life industry. I think the course should be more practical based rather than giving 5 assignments like a burden give 1 assignment with a plenty of time that requires a detailed research with gives student a chance to really involve in the assignment and do the work. Exams happen every 5 months, and the gap for preparation in between exams is plenty good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are provided in the 3rd year ie the final year, but the students are required to do internships every year mandatorily. Apart from this internships and similar opportunities are provided also by the college from time to time.

Placement Experience:

College somehow lacks in conducting the placement drives. The management needs to work on the placement area. Even though a placement drive is happening during the covid with the help of links and emails but a face-to-face discussion and interview had its own advantage. Also, the college should conduct a seminar for students for understanding the tactics during the placement drive.

Admission:

GGSIPU conduct common entrance test (CET) for admission process. To be a part of (CET) firstly I filled the form of (CET) around mid of may. After the result announced of (CET), there was three round of counseling. In the counseling process firstly I prefer colleges on the rank basis then there was three counseling round.

Placement Experience:

In the matter of internship they do not provide any internship and also do not guide about the internship. At the time of admission, they make fake promises to provide an internship.
