  • The infrastructure can be proved a little, they are working on it now.
  • Although the college lies in the south campus but it is quite away from other south campus colleges, So the feeling of the campus is not their in KNC.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose Journalism Honours, this course very practical based which requires real life exposure. Faculty is preparing us from the 1st semester for real life exposures we have given assignments like real life industry. I think the course should be more practical based rather than giving 5 assignments like a burden give 1 assignment with a plenty of time that requires a detailed research with gives student a chance to really involve in the assignment and do the work. Exams happen every 5 months, and the gap for preparation in between exams is plenty good.

Internships Opportunities :

This I'm not sure about, i don't have a proper list. But college held placement drive and all. Each department held seminars and pannel discussions regarding career opportunities and all. The placement cell of college is their to provide guidance

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For the first year in KNC, The annual fees for my course( BA(hons) Journalism was 17450, and the examination fee is around 1700-2100, depending the subjects and practicals which is to be paid per semester. The second year fees for my course was 20300, It got increased a little, And we haven't received any notification yet for the 3rd year fees. College gives relief and refund to students whose family annual income is less than 4.5 lacs, they get i guess 50% refund of their total amount

Campus Life :

The annual fest of KNC is Ullas basically held in the month of March-April. And we have departmental fests as well which starts from the January end and goes till april. Some departmental fests are really good some are just fine. 2023 ULLAS was really very nice, it was 2 day fest with many cultural competition and 1st day it was sufi night and second day Mohmmad irfan was invited. Most of the classes are equipped with projectors we have two seminar halls in the college. every classroom has window. As i mentioned earlier library is really very nice 2 storey building of library with e-resources and a lot of books is their. Extra curricular activities and sports activities are also very nice, provide great exposure.

Admission :

I got admitted in this college through CUET. my score was 733/800, pretty decent score but due to my subject selection i was eligible for only journalism course in Delhi University and Delhi University has only 7 colleges that provide Journalism Honours. we have to submit the preference list for our college on the portal and KNC was my second preference. 1st one was LSR i got alotted KNC in my first round and i freeze the seat didn't participate in another rounds, maybe till 3rd round there might be a chance i get LSR. But I'm happy with KNC too now. I gave CUET when it was introduced for the first time. but in 2024 cutoff is increased too much now for this course i guess 750+ is required for unreserved.

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio I'm not sure about but i think every department has 10-12 faculty members. As i said earlier KNC faculty is really nice, they are very approachable supportive and helps student in every possible way. I really like the journalism Faculty. So I'm from NEP batch so in NEP number of subjects are increased and we have now 7 subjects in first two years. For honours student 3 subject are core paper which are compulsory, 4th is elective paper. And sec, vac and Aec, Sec and vac are elective and aec is hindi or evs ( alternate semester). Per semester we have theory exam and practical exam. The paper is given by University of Delhi, with a medium difficulty students can pass the paper it is not that difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is not up to expectations, journalism requires a lots of comprehensive study which sadly lack in our college. There is no proper media lab , lack of equipment lesser the experience of study.

Entrance Preview:

There was no entrance exam and admissions were taken on the basis of the percentage acquired in 12th class. I chose the course because i did not make it to NIFT Delhi which was my first option but this being the second option to reach to masses, i joined this course.

Admission:

This is the only procedure for admission. The centralised Delhi University form that comes somewhere near April is the form that needs to be filled for this. When the cutoffs are out in June/July, we need to take all the required documents to the college.

The college topped in all aspects in providing the mass communication students the studio and equipment facilities. One thing that always touched my heart was the facilities for the PWD/blind students. The college infrastructure makes sure they are comfortable and self-reliant all the time.

Somewhere college management was not up to date. They charged fine if any student is not completing their 75% attendance for exam Hall ticket. So I hated this system and even now I don't support this corrupt way.
