In Many colleges Ragging is still there but hetre there was/is no ragging at all.
Though officially 75% is minimum attendance criteria alike many Universities but here the final cutoff usually comes around 65-70% with 5% extra waiver for Medical reasons.

Weather is not very much as you expect in Uttarakhand especially in summers where temperature exceeds 40 quite usually.
There are no AC's in Classes & Labs which becomes unbearable in summers.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Couse curriculum is like most of colleges in India outdated & Mainly focused on theory & mugging up rather than practicality. More emphasis is on theory part rathe than practical. Labs are there but only few faculties take the lab subjects seriously. Exams are not very difficult neither very easy. However this year they postponed the exams by 10-15 days because of 2 day election polling due to which students have to bear the scorching heat of mid June as exams started from 15 June while most of tghe colleges of the area finishes their exams by 10-15 June but not this college. Which is a major piss off for students. Also there is Major & Open system oprtion where you can even learn subjects like Data Analytisc, Robotics, Digital Marketting , French language etc apart from your course curriculum

Class Size : 65Course Fees : INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience :

Highest package recently was around 27LPA . However seeing 10LPA + packages is not quite common here companies come but most students don't get it. Average package is around 6LPA here. Palcements in 2023 was absolutely disappointing due to the impact of Recession but in 2024 it is supposed to recover eventually. A student is eligible for PLacements in the final year of your course 5th semesetr for 3 year course & 7th semester for 4year course.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fee is told to the stuidents at the time of admission for whole course & it is not usually increased much for them. however for new students it is increases. Total Fee for Btech is around 4.5L to 5L. With Hostel fee around 90 Thousand per year. There is one scholarship of upto 30thousand provided in 1st year studets bsed on the marks of Qcare exam or your 12th Boards/JEE score. Other than that students scoring 9.5 CGPA are awaded extra scholarshipos. Some small & Medium level comaponies visit collegecapmus for Jobs & Placements .

Campus Life :

There's one Annual Event Dharohar organized by college usually in the 1st week of April & plus there is a literally in the winter phase. Other than the fiction many books are there in the library across various studies & even scriptures too. Classrooms are not up to date as one would expect same old style classrooms with white board or black boards not the smart classes. Sports faculities are there like Football, Cricket, Badminton, Baketball, Tennis, etc. However the cricket ground is very small not up to the size expected and football is also played on the very same ground . There are also other clubs like Arts club, Dance club,Music club, Sports club, Social club and other clubs as extra curiculum activities. There are also Coding & GDSC clubs for students.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel fee is around 90,000INR for non AC Hostels including Mess food. Mess quite is ot very good as one would expect from a College Mess . Howevr it is not as baad as there is in many colleges. However, there is no AC in mess & in summers we can't eat food in this scorching heat.

Admission :

Admission process is very hassle free if you are doin it in July-August. You are choses usually on the base of 12th marks & Qcare for scholarships purposes. Since i am a Geneeral I have no idea about reservations. End sem Exams are held after compoletion of Semester with two Mid-semester exams in between the year.

Faculty :

Every section is divided into two sets A & B comprising of half students in each set. EAch set has been given one Mentors each with whom we can discuss our problems. There is one separate class for mentor meating once a week. In CS department most of the faculties are either with Masters or PHD degrees. And particularly in CS department majority of the faculties are approachable & understanding barring few.

A honest one

Placement Experience:

For placement this college is not good, the average placement is about 4 lakh. The highest package from the college is 1.24Cr per annum. The students get started placed from the 5th semester but the ratio of placement is about 40 percent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The computer science branch has various subjects like DBMS , OS ,ML , which I feel entertaining to study about. It feels good. The subjects deal with the real life problem. The frequency of exam in our college is quite good. Mid sem and then end sem, no sessionals.
