Course Curriculum Overview :

I'm a engineering student and nit Silchar is one of the best engineering college in India. And that's why I choose NIT Silchar. The courses are upto date. And exam time is accurate. The timeline has already been given before starting of a new semester.

Placement Experience :

Placement is very good in NIT Silchar. This year 60-70 percent students got placement. For placement from 7th semester students can seat for placement. There are so many companies visited for placement. Including Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Cisco, oil, ONGC, TCS and many more.

For this tution fees is 20833 and 10100 is the academic fees. 3rd slab income above 5lakh for this tuition fees is 62500 and 101000 is the academic fees.

Campus Life :

Campus Life is very interesting and very entertaining. There two main fest is there one technical, Tecnoesis conducted in October month and one cultural fest which is best, Incandescence conducted in Feb-March. And three spring fest are there posua (Assamese fest), Ooikyotan (Bengali), ugaadi (South Indian). NIT Silchar has Asia's largest digital library. So you can think about the availability of books. Every year inter-NIT tournament is organized. And every year our college participates in every sport including outdoor and indoor sports. For extracurricular activities, there are nearly 25 different clubs in NIT Silchar including a trading club, photography club, dance club, music club, coding club, ML club, and many more. And all the clubs are run by students only. For the hostel, food quality is decent according to mess fees taken. 22500 per semester. And we get refunds from there also. No PG available. You have to take the hostel.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel is compulsory for every student. If you are planning to do engineering then you have to stay in hostel. In hostels free internet is provided. Table, bed, chair are common. All hostels provide this. Meal quality of the hostels are very good according to fees taken. And sometimes we got refund also. Registration process is simple first get the admission then you will know.

Admission :

Firstly I prepared for JEE. I'm a b tech student. To take admission in NIT Silchar we have to give jee mains and after result out we have to do councelling through Josaa and then we can get NIT Silchar. One of the best engineering college in India. Here 50% seats reserved for Home State students(Assam) and other 50% is for other states students and international students. Cutoff changes every year. So we can't tell the exact cutoff of the college. But you have to score good marks in JEE mains. Then only you can get into NIT Silchar.

Faculty :

The faculties are very good and qualified. Most of them are IIT graduate and some of them done their PhD and research from IIT. Faculty to students ratio is about 1:5 or 1:6 They are very helpful and they help students for placement and other activities including studies. And they are very approachable.

It's a fact that the Indian education system is not designed or promoted for skills sharing. But if you are in CIT the scenes are quite different. In CIT various seminars and programs related to a high balance between a curriculum and an industrial side

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have choose EE because it's have both core and it features so i believe that I will go for core but if the situation changes then accordingly i will shift. The curriculum is pretty good in this campus according to me that's why I have choose this course. I don't think I have enough thinking level to suggest about that. Before exam there should be some gap for studies purpose I mean to say classes should be off. And everything is good.

Placement Experience:

Placement drives are held in December of every year for the students who complete their 7th semester. Placements are quite good over here, The highest package this year is 2.4 crore and the average package fluctuates between 20 to 25 LPA every year. One can also go for higher studies, there is no harm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My branch is Computer Science and Engineering. I am interested in computer skills like gaming, web development, coding, etc that's why I choose this course. In my college, every facility is provided like labs, sports ground and kits, medical facility, hostels and mess and, well educated and skilled faculty. Faculty : student ratio is around 1:50. Faculties are well experienced (Ph.D. holders) and have good teaching skills. But, I want to mention one thing that, you can't totally depend on the faculty, you need to pay extra effort by itself. B.Tech is of 4 years course that is divided into 8 semesters. Every semester 2 main exams are conducted. Exams are not much easy but also not too hard. You need to focus on academic too for decent pointers. If you are a sincere student then getting a good pointer is not hard.
