CET College of engineering Trivandrum is one of the best colleges in Kerala.
CET provides the best placements in Kerala.

Dislikes

The college deals with a issue of stray dogs there is way too much stray dogs around the campus
The campus is not as big as listed in Google it is only about 20 acres where Asin Google it said there is more than 100 acres

Course Curriculum Overview :

Electrical engineering is one of the best courses that you could take for the future. Electrical engineering can never be replaced by any other field so it is always relevant it has also one of the best placements here in CET. The only issue regarding this course is the difficulty level you have to learn a lot of stuff

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 9500 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internship is a bit more difficult to find when compare to jobs some companies offer internships which is paid while some others don't sometimes students have to venture on there on to get internships. Texas instruments Air India are some of the companies who provides internships

Placement Experience :

CET provides the best placements in all of Kerala companies like access instruments TCS Infosys bosch and several other big time companies come here to take placement . The college also provides and student assist cell for helping students to get placements

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee here is really low as this is a government college only 10000 rupees per year without including hostel fees. There is a lot of scholarships available here. For students from under privilege community there is a lot of financial assistance provided by the college there is a lot of financial assistance provided by the college

Campus Life :

CET is a heaven when it comes to campus life it conducts so many events that you will get bored of events. The big 2 fests are Drishti and dhwani. CT has many technical as well as fun clubs here to help students improve in different aspects .

Admission :

You can enter CET by writing an exam called keam. You have to get in the top 5000 rank to get admission to any courses here in CET. You have to first apply for the exam then write a online exam and based on the results if you get a rank above 5000 you have scope to get into this college. In keam 50 percentage of the marks are taken from your plus two science marks and the rest is from the r written exam

Faculty :

The faculty members here in CET are the best one of the best in kerala. All of the faculties who teach here are big time even authors of books that we learn here. They are very supporting and makes us really comfortable in the class and helps us to understand all the difficult to easy topics very comfortably.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
