Likes

The campus is good and full of positive vibes. Teachers are polite, helpful and cooperative. The overall environment of university will play a vital role in developing one's personality.
The infrastructure is well developed. Classroom and hostels are equipped with the necessary facilities. The whole campus is equipped with wifi. The university also provides bus facility within the campus.

The libraries have more old books and lesser new ones.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is good. The syllabus is designed to cover almost all the necessary topics. The exams are having medium difficulty level. The exams are taken semesterwise. Practicals are also there. The curriculum is good if you want to go for PhD.

Class Size : 75Course Fees : INR 4000 per year

Placement Experience :

One can become eligible for placement in the third semester. The students have to connect and consider the university placement cell for placements. Less than 20% of students get campus placement in MA Psychology. Rest students can put their efforts into placement. For better opportunities, you can go for specialized courses further.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee is nominal. Fees are increased in very rare circumstances. The yearly expense of tuition fees is around 4000 rupees. An additional 1000 rupees is required for a swayan course which is mandatory by govt. Hostel fees including electricity is around 6000 per year. The expenditure for food needs to be paid separately which can go around 3500 per month including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The students are eligible for state and national scholarships.

Campus Life :

The annual function of Social Science faculty is named Abhikalapn and takes place around the February every year. The participants who qualify are chosen for the annual fest of university called as Spandan. The university witnesses a huge celebration on its foundation day which is celebrated on Basant Panchami. The Janmastami is also celebrated in unique way. There are various clubs in the university like poetry clubs, debate clubs, music clubs etc. University has numerous sports ground also where various sports equipments can be availed. University has both closed and open gyms. You can also see some political activities in the campus.

Hostel Facilities :

The rooms of the hostels are good. High speed wifi is available free of cost to the students. The cleanliness in hostels is good. But the food quality is average. One needs to apply for the hostel along with the admission application.

Hostel Fee : INR 6000 per year

Admission :

Anyone who completed graduation in psychology is eligible for admission in MA Psychology. One has to appear for Psychology paper of CUET PG. The admissions are taken on the basis of CUET PG score. Reservation is provided as per central government norms. The exam of CUET PG needs enough of preparation. The exam is conducted between Feb to May. After the exams university releases its seperate application form on the portal.

Faculty :

The teachers are well qualified. Almost everyone is polite and friendly. The teachers are helping and do co-operate. Anyone can approach the teachers if they need. Their way of teaching is good. Doubts can be discussed in the classes as well. The classes are somewhat irregular.

Vasant Kanya Mahavidyalaya: a fun comforting place

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course covers all the main topics of UGC NET exam, hence my reason for choosing it. Like i said, if you study your syllabus well, you are decently prepared for half the competetive exams relevant to the field out there. Teachers could also have a more digital inclusive approach to teaching, referring to e-material out there. They happen once every semester. So that would be twice or thrice a year almost. They are moderate in terms of difficulty. One can easily sweep through them if they study well in the preparatory breaks. That much is enough to score decently.

Remarks:

Positive remarks are the students of dav college gets degree of Banaras Hindu university and exams also conducted in BHU.there are more numbers of classes than bhu.And negative one is no hostel facilities available for all students as compared to bhu.
