- The library work should be completed so everyone can make the use of the resources.

Course Curriculum Overview :
EIE department is really good cause you are in a circutal branch and it helps you to get placement in both IT as well as core. The course syllabus is quite friendly for the students. In the course curriculum we all have some subjects like DSA and CN which are helpful during our placements.
Internships Opportunities :
Their are a lot of opportunities for intership if you are from CSE and ECE department. For other departments the intership opportunity is less and are mainly in the core field. But for the CSE and ECE you will get a lot of opportunity.
Placement Experience :
The placement of our college is really good. Even this year where the placement has suffered a lot in NITs and IITs still our college was able to provide us with a decent placement. The T&P cell of NIT Silchar is doing a great work.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure depends on your family income. For someone having family income below 1 lakh the fees for each semester is around 3-5 thousand.For family income from 1 to 5 lakh the per semester fee is around 30k and for above 5 lakh it is around 72k per semester.
Campus Life :
NIT Silchar has a lot of clubs for the students which are managed by the students. Some of the clubs are Coding Club, Machine learning Club, Music Club, Dance Club, Robotics Club, GDSC,etc. The main fests are techno and Incand. The sports facilities are good for badminton, kabaddi, table tennis, lawn tennis, cricket and football.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility is good for the first year and second year in each room either 2 students or 3 students would be staying together depending on their pointer and for the 4th year you will always get a single room.
Admission :
The admission in NITs is based on the JEE Mains score. For getting into NIT for a general student you need a percentile of around 96+ and depending on the branch it can be more and less and for the candidates having reservation will depend on their category rank.
Faculty :
All faculty members are PHD and have good knowledge about the subject they teach. The ratio is generally around 1:6, the approach of teaching is really good and the environment they create is really helpful for the students. The interaction with your department teachers are on a regular basis.
