Course Curriculum Overview :

Tests and exams are frequent. After a few days, you will have to take a test. The course curriculum involves memorizing the books and modules and reproducing them in exams. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate. If you have studied the modules and attended classes regularly, you should be able to perform well in the exams. Also, you are compelled to attend the classes to maintain the 75 per cent criteria.

Placement Experience :

From your 8th semester, you are eligible for a campus placement drive. Companies often visit are OIL, TCS, ACCENTURE, L&T, Bharat Electronics, etc The percentage of students getting placed is approx 50.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of our college are very low you can easily afford them. Also, numerous scholarships here are given to almost all of the students whoever apply. So you need to worry about it. The hostel fees are considerable which sums up to a total of 31200 yearly or less.

Campus Life :

Campus life all depends on the friends you make. If you are shy and introverted, you can't experience happy and enjoyable moments. The fest here is called the Pyrokinesis in short students call it Pyro and from Jan onwards the buzz around it starts and those 4 days are worthy

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels are not even average the windows are broken the tables are missing no chairs you would get if you get Hostel 7 during counselling. Hostels 9 and 7 are the hostels that are being provided by the college while hostel 9 is a newly built one, hostel 7 is much older.

Admission :

To get into Assam Engineering College to have to clear the CEE with a good rank under 1500 or so for general and accordingly for other castes as well. Also, you need a 60% average on your 12th boards. The difficulty level of CEE is much below JEE and the syllabus of the exam is the same as JEE. If you only analyse the previous year's question paper you are all done for the exam. The counselling process is conducted by ASTU and according to your preference and rank, you would get a branch. A total of 6 rounds of counselling are conducted here.

Faculty :

The teachers' qualifications are decent but not top-notch. It's worth noting that all the teachers speak Assamese instead of English. If you're not proficient in Assamese, it's advisable to reconsider attending this college from the first semester. Also, the teachers here don't give high cgpa even if you do good in the exams. Teachers here are open to discussion regarding anything.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've been enthusiastic about exploring more about software and programming which influenced me to choose the course of Computer Science Engineering. With further development of artificial intelligence, it opens up better learning and job opportunities for students. In my university, computer science is taught by experienced teachers and faculty but it would be better if they were more inclusive of certain topics which are extremely important for the students and raising the level of teaching including practical learning and understanding and also examining the student's capability is one of the aspects to be included.

To be honest, placements were dissapointing however it is getting better day by day. The major hindrance is the location factor but TnP cell works very hard to bring companies and to provide students with equal opportunities.
