No bad remarks about my college i.e Assam engineering college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Curriculum and exam structure was so relevant that learn us and groomed also about industry specific knowledge and much more.And it help us to secure on campus placement.In the last 2 years of graduation every semester there were industrial visit and training organized for us from our college.

Placement Experience :

Placement is average.every year final year students is placed is about 50-60% on campus. Every govt and private sector company coming to our college for recruitment of students. For sitting in the recruitment drive firstly registration should be done within a limited period given to us by placement cell of our college.A few days later after registration company will come and take Group discussion as first round than written test as second round and technical interview as final round.

College Events :

Every year cultural program was held in our college. Technical seminar of each department like civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and so on is held in every month.A gap of one or may be two years international technical seminar under civil engineering department also held in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Yearly fee structure is about 15000-20000 including exam free cultural fee.Mode of payment is online as well as ofline.Maximum payment is done through online.There is no additional fees/charges taken by Assam engineering college to secure an admission of any students in the college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Did the college offer scholarship opportunities to students? ans:yes. what was the eligibility criteria? Ans: 75% with honours and procedure to apply for the same is provided by director of technical education Assam by online mode. What was the average sum for which the scholarship was provided? Ans:13000 per annum.

Campus Life :

campus life is to good too enjoy our college life.gender ratio of male and female is 4:1. There is no tolerance to any particular religious students. All are brothers and sisters.About extracurricular it is tremendous, labs is up to date with current technology.sports, competitions such as robotics, debates, etc is not about good it is best in North East.

Hostel Facilities :

No I haven't opted hostel.so I can't give the details of hostels, about hostels rooms,sharing, hostel seats,about PG’s the average rentals which need to be paid in that case.I was a day scholar. Though I was a day scholar I saw the hostels and quality of hostels,seat and all other facilities that is to good. Every year education minister visiting to our college and review taken from our college.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Our almni network is largely expanded.Some of our alumni working in Australia, UK, Canada,Dubai,Saudi Arabia.Ehen alumni association meeting is happened in our college maximum of almni attend every time.They told every time about there life and how they changed and share about college life.

Admission :

I opt this course as I like engineering.specially civil engineering. Admission procedure is like that firstly I had given state level engineering entrance exam and qualified in the exam.After that rank wise counseling was going on in Guwahati under director of technical education Assam.In the counseling I selected civil engineering as l love very much.And than admission is happened after few days.

Faculty :

No. Of faculty at Assam engineering college,jalukbari, Guwahati is more than 100. And in civil engineering department lecturer is about 18 no's.There higher qualification is M.phil and minimum qualification is M.tech.They are highly experience in their specific subjects. Every year they visited international seminar and going out of country i.e India to learn more and more.

Crisp college experience

Placement Experience:

Placements in this college is quite decent . Students are eligible to sit for placements at the start of 4th year The average placement percentage was 90 percent last year with max package of 52lpa and average of 16lpa (for cs) .Among core branches , the mech department is quite good offers good packages and also have great faculties .

Faculty members are the best part of the college.

Placement Experience:

Almost 60% of students got placed in our course. The highest was 7 LPA, the lowest was 3.5 LPA and the average is around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Vodafone, Jio etc. Our college provides better placements compared to other private colleges.

How is it like to be a student of The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've been enthusiastic about exploring more about software and programming which influenced me to choose the course of Computer Science Engineering. With further development of artificial intelligence, it opens up better learning and job opportunities for students. In my university, computer science is taught by experienced teachers and faculty but it would be better if they were more inclusive of certain topics which are extremely important for the students and raising the level of teaching including practical learning and understanding and also examining the student's capability is one of the aspects to be included.
