Course Curriculum Overview :

The courses are strictly focussed on academic excellence. If you are planning for corporates, you have to do some internships and courses that would help tor jobs. But if you are planning to stay in academics or do PhD, this place is one of the best.

Internships Opportunities :

There is a placement cell that manages all the internship and placement. You will get plenty of opportunities for internship. The companies range from insurence and finance to even a bakery. But you have to also remember that the interview process for the internships are pretty vigorous.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees is on the higher side although many people don't know about it since it had association with Calcutta University. I am not aware of any scholarships. There is placement opportunities and internship opportunities, both paid and unpaid.

Campus Life :

There are numerous clubs in each department. When you enter the college you would see atleast 10 different banners for events of different departments. If you want to get involved in any clubs, you will get get plenty of opportunities.

Admission :

The college has its own entrance test. The cutoff for the graduation courses are really high but in the masters courses, you are eligible to appear for the entrance exam if you score more than 50% in your boards.

Faculty :

The faculty members are pretty good. The syllabus is covered in a very comprehensive manner and they are ready to help you with every assignment and exam preparation, they are also ready to help you personally over call.

Interview Experience :

There is no group discussion or interview, but there is a written test. The admission test is not easy at all. You have to prepare for the test pretty vigorously. You have to prepare for the basic mathematics in economics and logical answering.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love mathematics from school level. I wished to student this subjet in future and after scoring good in class 12 I took decision to study mathematics from krishnagar government college. Teachers made it easy to chose to study msc then. In msc semester exams after 4/5 months are really difficult to study, but you have to compromise with situation ,nothing to do.

Placements opportunity are actually very good in this college. For UG-courses, students are eligible from the 5th semester and for PG courses, from the 3rd semester onwards, they are eligible for on-campus placements. Many good companies visit campus. All the details are available on the website. The placement cell is very active and ensures a higher number of placements.

Placement Experience:

From Last semester students are eligible for appearing in campus placements. In our time that is 2021, there is not a single company visited to offer jobs in our department. But, in previous years Dr. Reddy's, Cipla, Sun Pharma, etc companies visited. Our just previous batch got approx 4 LPA packages on average.

Placement Experience:

The placement committee is working hard in the science department recently, besides engineering and arts. The students in their last year or previous year of graduation are eligible for placements. The science faculty has recently linked with AI companies like Bridge i2i, tech companies like TCS and Infosys, and banks like the CITI bank. One student has already secured her placement in the CITI bank. The engineering department is visited by frequent companies like NTPC, SAIL, Mahindra, Google, Microsoft, Compass, Ranbaxy and other prestigious MNCs and international enterprises. Almost 78% of the students get hired in on-campus recruitments and the average package is 6-7lpa in science and 12-13lpa in engineering. After completing my Master, I am thinking of getting a one-year job experience and then, opting for M.Tech.

Remarks:

Lots of positives are there to say regarding JU. It's the premier institution in West Bengal and perhaps entire eastern India for a reason. The free thinking, diversity, tolerance, political consciousness which it imbibes into its students is something everyone of them will fondly cherish when they will set foot out of those beloved gates for one last time.

Remarks:

Overall experience is good. Campus is good too. But some of the departments should be taken care of too. They are worst and after some time courses are stopped. Instead care should have taken.
