Course Curriculum Overview :

The institute was established with the aim of providing higher education in various fields. The institute has been providing quality education to my course. Course is well defined so students get deeper knowledge.

Placement Experience :

Since the education system of the university is good, so the students get placement without any much difficulty. The University has a well developed Training & Placement Cell headed by a Training and Placement Officer who has a close liaison with reputed public and private sector organizations.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For my course BSC I have paid to college just ten thousand rupees which was feasible. After giving annual fee college don't ask any fee except examination fee. Compare to any other college this college fee is very less.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Sikkim University, offers scholarships for financial assistance to meritorious UG and PG students who full fill the eligibility rules. Students who have obtained 55% in their last qualifying exam and have a family income of less than 60,000 annually are eligible.

Campus Life :

As per University guideline organization and participation in extracurricular activities is must for the each department. Sports activity will be organized by University, different sports like - Cricket, Basketball, athletics etc will be played in that.

Admission :

For admission in UG programs there shall be a Central Admission Test (CAT) for all applicants of The total marks for the test shall be 100 marks out of which a candidate has to score 50% in order to qualify in the CAT.

Faculty :

The faculty are the best all the faculty are giving there best to the students they provide an best environment to learn and make able to understand the things and topics with live demonstrations and practical.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to take Tourism honors as it is one of my favorite subjects since I was studying in class 9. Is it a service-providing sector. The faculty out here are really outstanding. They guide us by providing notes by explaining every little word. They never miss their class. The exam's time was from 10;30-11;30. Questions were not that tough.

My Review on Sikkim University

Admission:

Like most of the other MBA colleges one needs to appear for CAT, and so did I. One needs to have scored at least 50% in Graduation, along with either CAT or MAT scores will help you land here. All you have to do is apply online which is fairly simple.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is still average. Many companies come every year like Axis, Cipla, Business organizations, etc. to recruit students with an average package of around 3 LPA. Alumni network are very helpful for getting internships if any seniors recommend you.

Admission:

The rules to get admission in MBA course is different for general and SC/ST/OBC students. The major thing seen while getting admission is clearance of CAT exam. I am from SC class and have marked my place in available 25 seats of the course by having more than 45% marks in graduation.

Placement Experience:

The college has many great placement opportunities for the MBA students. The leading companies are linked with college and arranges high packages for the deserving candidates. The placement cell of the college works on several internships as well for the students.

Sikkim University- A good start for career

Admission:

After B.Sc in Microbiology, I decided to go for further studies and started looking for a college. I came to know about Sikkim University from the Internet and decided to apply for it. Eligibility for applying is to score a minimum of 45% aggregate and all I had to do was apply online which was fairly simple.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is satisfactory. Many companies belonging to health, biological research, quality control, etc. do visit on an annual basis. The median package is 3 LPA. Alumni network do help a lot in getting internships with good stipend.

Remarks:

The college provides you with the best of education and learning programs. The faculty is good and very supportive. The college organises different events and activities for students. All the facilities are available for everyone. The infrastructure is also good.

Admission:

First of all, you have to apply the application form online from the official website. Submit your details and documents. Then on the basis of your past academic performance, you will get shortlisted. Then on the merit base, you will get selected. For MBA the eligibility criteria are you must have cleared CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ SRMJEEM.

Remarks:

The college is in a very peaceful place and the environment of our college is very good totally covered by the hills. Afterall this is a very good place and also ragging free. I published a paper in SCI journal and got an incentive amount of Rs/-1667. Also got a fund from SMU for our project.
