Large campus of 600+ acres. 18+ lakes. Also there is a tea garden behind the college. The nature is untouched. In total the raw beauty of the nature inside the college is untouched.
The infrastructure of the campus is really good including well equipped labs, libraries and sports complex. Which ensures the overall development of the student.

Dislikes

The Institute is in a remote area surrounded by nature which might not attractive to everyone. Specially those who grew up in a urban area and looking for a vibrant life.
Due to it is in a remote area. There is less entertainment & social life opportunities outside the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is up to date with the curriculum being updated on 2018 last. It is well prepared to prepare a student for the industry. But in some areas the curriculum can be updated as the industry is evolving each & every day.

Internships Opportunities :

Many top companies such as atlassian, amazon etc. come to the campus to hire interns offering stipend up to one lakh. Also for the students who are interested to pursue research internship there is satyendranath bose research internship.

Placement Experience :

Placements are good here. But after the covid situation now the placement isn't good enough like it used to be. But overall it's good enough if you compare it with other colleges in the northeast india.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure includes per semester: Tuition fees: 62500 rs Registration fees: 10100 rs BHM fees : 1500 rs Mess bill : 21500 rs Also there is a one time refundable BHM fees of 10000 rs in the first semester.

Campus Life :

Two major fests at nit silchar are incandescence and tecnoesis. First one is the annual cultural fest and the second one is the annual technical fest. These fests and clubs & societies at NIT Silchar make the campus life really vibrant.

Hostel Facilities :

Accommodation in NIT Silchar is good enough. There are nine boys hostels, three girls hostels and one pg hostel in NIT Silchar. There is 24/7 electricity and internet facilities present in all hostels .

Hostel Fee : INR 45000 per year

Admission :

As an international student i came through study in india scheme. it was based on ind sat exam result. our slot in the Institute was given based on performance on ind sat result. basically, it was international students competing with each other for the reserved seats for international students.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio in this Institute is good enough. Also the faculty members are well qualified. Most of the faculty members are friendly and easy to approach. Specially in cse the faculty members are really helpful. Each of them are knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have choose EE because it's have both core and it features so i believe that I will go for core but if the situation changes then accordingly i will shift. The curriculum is pretty good in this campus according to me that's why I have choose this course. I don't think I have enough thinking level to suggest about that. Before exam there should be some gap for studies purpose I mean to say classes should be off. And everything is good.

Placement Experience:

Placement drives are held in December of every year for the students who complete their 7th semester. Placements are quite good over here, The highest package this year is 2.4 crore and the average package fluctuates between 20 to 25 LPA every year. One can also go for higher studies, there is no harm.

MY GREENISH COLLEGE

Course Curriculum Overview:

My branch is Computer Science and Engineering. I am interested in computer skills like gaming, web development, coding, etc that's why I choose this course. In my college, every facility is provided like labs, sports ground and kits, medical facility, hostels and mess and, well educated and skilled faculty. Faculty : student ratio is around 1:50. Faculties are well experienced (Ph.D. holders) and have good teaching skills. But, I want to mention one thing that, you can't totally depend on the faculty, you need to pay extra effort by itself. B.Tech is of 4 years course that is divided into 8 semesters. Every semester 2 main exams are conducted. Exams are not much easy but also not too hard. You need to focus on academic too for decent pointers. If you are a sincere student then getting a good pointer is not hard.
