Course Curriculum Overview :

At my rank in jee the best college for mechanical engineering i was getting was this college only , currently in the first year we don't have any idea how is the mechanical faculty in this college because for now we are under the chemistry department of the NIT and talking about the first year academics ,it is okayish not good but not too bad ,you get a lot of free time in first year and if you elect your CR wisely then you can have absolutely great first year in terms of bunks and classes ( hopefully we got a good CR). talking about the teaching method, it was just like school ,yes you read it right ,just like schools even worse than school , that's what i have to say about this.

Internships Opportunities :

Being a first year students i do t have much knowledge about the internships but i know that internships are mandatory for our seniors as internships are the part of their academics and credits are assigned for the internship also

Placement Experience :

Placements are surprisingly good for Core branches like Elec Mech and civil , and very good for CSE/IT/ECE ,the placement percentage is also very good for almost every branch , and the overall avg package of the college is more than 10lpa which is pretty decent.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of the college is above 1 lakh per year but it gives fee accommodation according to your family income and cateogery , for non category students there are 3 levels for fee reimbursement, family income below 5 LPA ,above 5 lpa or between 1-5lpa ,there is no tution fee for <5lpa students, 1/3rd reimbursement for 1-5lpa students and no fee reimbursement for >5lpa students

Campus Life :

Campus life is pretty decent here we have lush green campus with a single beautiful garden ???? ,the main problem of this college infrastructure is that it doesn't provide hostels to everyone, the allotment of first year hostel is based on your JEE rank and the distance of the college from your hometown ,and from secodn year onwards you have to get a SPI >8 in odd semesters in order to get the hostels ,There are total 5 boys hostel out of which 4 are for first year students and 1 hostel for 2nd ,3rd and 4th year students and 2 girls hostel ,1 for First year girls and second for seniors. Talking about the clubs we have many different clubs based on Innovation entrepreneurship, culture technology etc

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are not for everyone, first year hostel allotment is based on jee rank and from second year you have to maintain a SPI of >8 for hostel ,there are 4 first year boys hostel and 1 senior boys hostels and for girls only 1 First year girls hostel and 1 senior girls hostel. hostels are a major drawback of this college. and for other students, there are many private boys hostel and PGs under 2 km radius of the college that are very affordable and value for the price.

Admission :

The admission in NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY RAIPUR is based on your JEE score ,you have to clear jee mains and must have more than 75% in your class 12th board exams or you must be in the top 20%ile of your respective boards if not cbse ,every year the application for JEE starts in the month of December -January you can apply online and take the test ,JEE is conducted twice every year ,first attempt in January and the second attempt in April .this was all about the admission process, now coming to the academics There are total of 8 semesters in the 4 years of engineering each of them 6 months long out of which effectively 4 months are there for each semester, in the semester two exams are conducted they are Mid semester exams and End semester exams ,Mid sems are of 30 marks and end sems are of 50 marks along with them Practicals and viva are also conducted separately for mid and end semesters , the difficulty level of the exam is neither to easy nor to hard.

The campus placements are decent, average package is somewhere around 10-11 LPA and lowest around 4 LPA where are the highest is around 65 LPA. around 70% of students get placed through campus placement. As this is an NIT, there are many intership opportunity and stipend varis from 10,000-35,000 per month. Companies like Adobe, AMD, Intel, Microsoft provide intership opportunities in this college and over 20% students get properly paid internships

Students are allowed to sit on placements from the 7th sem (for B.Tech) and for internships(5th sem), before entering to 8th sem (almost all students get a job). For circuital branches like CS, IT, ECE, EE Avg package is around 15lpa, for reminding core companies the Avg package is around 8-9lpa. Some renowned companies visits are Oracle, PhonePE, Microsoft, Google, Optum, PocketFM, Tekion, WD, UKG, NVIDIA, AMD, Kanerika, IBM, Hyperverge, ZS Associates, etc. Almost 95 % of Students get a placement each year. Do the corporate job for 1-2 year then pursue my startup as a full-time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I am a student of btech in computer Science. And I choose this course because of high demanding of software developer. As I heard from my senior that college provides minor internship. But this is not enough for a student if he or she wants to get a good job. Students are need to be self dependent and learn skills from themselves. Teachers are only for curriculum activities. I think if placement scenario will improve then it will beneficial for the students. Exams happens 2 time (2 sem) a year and in two class test happens in one semester

There is no such high placement in this college, the highest package is 6lakh which is not that high, but the faculties always support students by giving them ideas to apply to certain colleges, if you talk about me I'm studying to get a degree and move abroad to work my main focus is to learn skills.
