I love the functions and events held and also the diversity of the state.

Dislikes

I hate the heat as im used to cool breeze living in Meghalaya. So i dislike the hot weather here which can get to 37 - 40 ° C during summers.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I loved computers and all digital devices which made me tool the course that is Electronic and Communications engineering as i was always fascinated by how the different digital devices worked. The curriculum prepares you very little for the real world application because like how is the equations and circuits help you in the future. I wish for the course to teach us how to build and service the components in the devices.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 50000 per year

Placement Experience :

Campus placements are eligible for final year students after passing the exam and passing the interview by different companies who come looking for new interns. I dont know much about the companies who visits the institute.i dont much as well about the percentage of students getting placement not the highest and average package .

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fee is quite cheap as it is a Government Institution. It costs like less than 50000 for tuition including mess fee but including student expenses it is quite more. Scholarship helps the students a lot and there are many scholarships from which students may choose provided by the state government or central government.

Campus Life :

There are many events in the Institution including cultural events, sports events and technical events. We usually have them each at different semesters of the year. The library is very good and has plenty books for all the students. The classrooms are also good which include smart classes in some rooms. We also have different State Unions in which the members of of same states form a union and have other activities there as well.

Hostel Facilities :

In classrooms we have blackboard in some rooms while some rooms have smart screens which is very useful for showing videos or pictures of topics discussed in class. Meal quality is good as well. Hostels are alloted to students who are selected for the institute and it is quite affordable. If i rented a room or PG the environment is pretty good and friendly.

Hostel Fee : INR 40000 per year

Admission :

Eligibility was 10 passed and we could find the application form through online mode and application fees was not much and seats were reserved state wise like 20 seats for each of the north east states and 20 seats for all India. The exam was quite hard and i was on selected list from my state.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college is average, as the location is remote only a limited number of companies visit for placement. - From seventh sem students become eligible for campus placements. - The highest package offered till now for on campus is 19lpa by C-Dot and average package is 8lpa. - Students getting placed differs from branch to branch , in cse almost every students gets placed who are eligible. - Also i am planning for M.tech if i do not get a good placement.

NIT Arunachal Pradesh - An Honest Overview

Placement Experience:

From 7th Semester students are eligible for campus placements if they dont have a backlog as many companies do not allow arrays in the semester. The companies visited are Deloitte , Alstom , HCL , TCS etc. Almost 100 percent students are placed in my college I would join an MNC after getting a degree

The placements are good so far and every year at least 80% of students get placed and the companies that come to give placements are mostly core companies. The average package every year is 8LPA. So I do have a plan to sit on placement.

Remarks:

It is the best technical College in our state and the course I took was good for developments in our state as it is an agriculture based state. Students from various parts of North East come here through entrance. Seats are there for all India students too.So NERIST is full of diversity in culture,caste and race.It provides B.tech,B.sc,MBA, M.tech,M.sc,P.hd program.The course I took was Agricultural Engineering.It was a much needed course in our state which directly depended its economy in agriculture.
