I like the campus life. The campus is very green and big.
I like the hostel life. All the hostels are well maintained and all provide wifi.

I don't like the mess food at all. Too much oil and masala.
Sometimes wifis have not work properly leading frustrations among the hostelers.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum here in NIT Silchar is very much relevent. Here courses are well designed so that students can get the theoritical knowledge as well as practical knowledge of subjects. In term of teaching methods, I would say I solely depends upon individual as some students like the methods while some don't.

Class Size : 186Course Fees : INR 144000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

NIT Silchar provides internships and placement opportunities for students. The college has a dedicated placement cell called the "Training and Placement Cell" which provides the necessary informations regarding internships and placements.

Placement Experience :

Placements of NIT Silchar is very good. The Highest package this year is 1.2 cr LPA . The average package is 26 LPA. The highest placements are from CSE, ECE and EIE departments. 100% placements from CSE dept. in the year of 2023.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure for one semester is 72000 rupees for those whose annual family income is more than 5 lakhs. 10500 rupees for those whose annual family income is less than 1 lakhs. 30,933 rupees for those whose annual family income between 1 to 5 lakhs. 10500 rupees for SC/ST.

Campus Life :

Campus life here at NIT Silchar is very good. The campus is very green. It has 19 lakes inside the campus. Also different clubs are there such as Dance Club, Music club, Coding club, Robotics club etc.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 9 boys and 4 girls hostels inside NIT Silchar. For the first year, a separate hostel is there. One can get all types of rooms in the hostel such as single seater, double seater, and triple seater rooms. In the case of mess food, I would say it is not good for all week except for Sunday.

Hostel Fee : INR 45000 per year

Admission :

One can get admission into NIT Silchar through JEE Mains for B.Tech programs. After JEE Mains we have to apply for JOSSA counselling. Based on the JEE Mains percentile, you can get admission into different courses for different categories. NIT Silchar follows the government-mandated reservation policy providing relaxation in eligibility criteria and seat allocation for candidates belonging to reserved categories such as ST,SC,OBC and PWD.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have choose EE because it's have both core and it features so i believe that I will go for core but if the situation changes then accordingly i will shift. The curriculum is pretty good in this campus according to me that's why I have choose this course. I don't think I have enough thinking level to suggest about that. Before exam there should be some gap for studies purpose I mean to say classes should be off. And everything is good.

Placement Experience:

Placement drives are held in December of every year for the students who complete their 7th semester. Placements are quite good over here, The highest package this year is 2.4 crore and the average package fluctuates between 20 to 25 LPA every year. One can also go for higher studies, there is no harm.

MY GREENISH COLLEGE

Course Curriculum Overview:

My branch is Computer Science and Engineering. I am interested in computer skills like gaming, web development, coding, etc that's why I choose this course. In my college, every facility is provided like labs, sports ground and kits, medical facility, hostels and mess and, well educated and skilled faculty. Faculty : student ratio is around 1:50. Faculties are well experienced (Ph.D. holders) and have good teaching skills. But, I want to mention one thing that, you can't totally depend on the faculty, you need to pay extra effort by itself. B.Tech is of 4 years course that is divided into 8 semesters. Every semester 2 main exams are conducted. Exams are not much easy but also not too hard. You need to focus on academic too for decent pointers. If you are a sincere student then getting a good pointer is not hard.
