Course Curriculum Overview :

I'm currently in Instrumentation and control engineering department. It is one of the circuital branches (ece, eee, ice). It is not a well known department out but it has a lot application in industries and companies. Our department focuses on Sensors and automation. Every power plant and oil companies will need instrumentation engineer. To give a glimpse it is combination of mechanical and ece with addition of some eee. We'll have exams three times every sem one is class test 1 and class test 2 finally end semester exam not including assignments and some seminars. Difficulty depends on you, because interested people can learn and get good grades. If you're not into circuits and all this is not your cup of tea. Finnaly do what you love to do, here there are many other opportunities like clubs and fests where you'll learn alot in management and leadership. You can also participate in sports and there is seperate club for entrepreneurs and trading.

Internships Opportunities :

There will be big companies like Microsoft, Nvidia, Texas instruments, Goldman Sachs, P&G etc for both placements and so no need to worry about companies and their availability. But there will be competition due to less number of selection. Anyway you'll get a good number of well known companies. Stipend for internship range from 20000 to 150000 depends on the company and role.

Placement Experience :

Internships available in end of 4th sem and starting of 5th sem to end of 6th sem. From the 7th sem starting you'll get placement companies. No need to worry until you are atleast talented because of your experience till then in this campus. You'll get a minimum placement, the training will be taken care by seniors in the 6th sem which was very strict and well structured to make placement ready. You can either go for higher through the help of professor in the field you are interested but you need to do research intern under them.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution is based on income. If you are above 5 lakh then tution fee is 60000 per sem. 1-5 lakh will have to pay 20000 and below 1 lakh no need to pay tution fee. Apart from tution fee we need to pay annual fee at every year starting (odd sem) which around 20000 there is no remission on this. And hostel fee is 11000 for the year need to pay in odd sem again. Mess fee is 30000 per sem which everyone has to pay. There are scholarships available based on your excellence in studies and income based. Hostel fee may increase some times because renovations in hostel and for building new blocks. These fees are less compared to other private college they charge at least 2lakh per sem.

Campus Life :

Here you'll get one of the best college life and infrastructure available out there in terms of support and system. Classrooms are well equipped but most of the times we spend either in labs or in clubs. You can participate in your interested sport without any hesitation if you play well they'll take in to team and you can go for inter nit and many other sports competitions. Clubs are there in campus you can join them, everything from agriculture to entrepreneurship and trading, analytics. For the placement seniors will take of juniors.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels of under graduation are mostly 2 per room, some might have single room in very few hostels. Every one have their own table, cupboard for books, bed, and big cupboard for clothes and other items. Mess food is one of the best you can get because we are paying 30000 per sem equal to 5000 per month. There are different types of messes for every state containing their own cuisine like Kerala, andhra, Tamilnadu and north mess. Very few people stay outside campus because everyone can stay inside hostel without any restriction.

Admission :

The entrance test was jee (joint entrance examination), 90 questions difficulty ranges from hard to easy both exam and competition. Admission process is through JOSAA. According to our rank we need to select our preference order. They will check the applied people for that college and branch, give it for the lesser rank people. There will be rounds in process in each round we can try for upper rank college or else we lock the position we got, there is no going down so choose wisely what you want in the upper position. There are reservation benefits in ranking. Application forms, fees and remaining and all will be available in josaa website itself so stay updated. Area of improvement is needed for documents verification before admission, we need to attend the college we got physically for approval. People from far areas will suffer to travel that too they'll inform late. So it would be better if they keep the process online. Take proper documentation of fees paid.

There were more than 100 companies opting to get people from our college. Infosys, CTS, TCS and many other companies and the campus drive takes place at almost for 2 to 3 months. There will be even heavy competition between companies who's gonna recruit first. There are options if you are not interested in placements too

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
