Course Curriculum Overview :

So, here at IIM Ranchi we follow Trimester i.e 3 semenster in each year. each semester we have 2 exams mid-term and end-term with few quiz presentations and report submission. The subjects give us the complete overview of all the aspects i.e Marketing, Accounting, finance, Satustics Research, Methodologies, Operatins Research, Operations management, Business law, ethics and communications. The teachers keep the lectures interactive by case studies, simulations presentations and fun activities. Simulatins gives us hands on experience in real life problem statement .

Internships Opportunities :

There are almost every role offered to you. The college has good associations with most big brands, and the alumni base is now getting stronger. The prominent associations can be found on their website, and the report is also available. Students get opportunities from big established brands as well as startups as well.

Placement Experience :

The placement is on a rolling basis, which gives enough time for the students to prepare well for the company visiting. The committee gives 2-3 days of notice on when the company will be visiting the campus. They make sure to have sessions by alums/students who have worked or interned in the company that will be visiting so that the students are well prepared for the GD and PI. As of now the college has close the placement season with 100% batch of both 2022-24 and 2023-25. The highest package that was offered for final placement was 43LPA for a product management role and the highest stipend offered for summer internship is 1.75LPM

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our fee is1790000 which includes accomodation and academic fees. Although mess fee is 27000 per trimester which is to be paid separately. It might seem expensive at first but IIM Ranchi has a Memorandum of Understanding signed with various banks, which helps the students to avail collateral free loans at very subsidised rate of interest. Additionally, loans have a moratorium period of 1 year. In addition to that college also provides various scholarships which can be looked for on the official website of the institute. One of them is 'Means cum Merit scholarship' which acts as a fee waiver which altogether makes it quite affordable.

Campus Life :

Rush is the annual fest of IIM Ranchi. This year it was a great success and was closed by Jubin Nautiyal. It included Dance, singing, sports, and Drama. Apart from this, we also have Soul Carnival, where faculty and students put all paid stalls, and the customers can pay whatever they wish, and all that money goes to charity. The cultural committee celebrates almost all the festivals. Our Library is currently being expanded to a 3-storied library, and we would have access to most of the books and journals. The library computer has access to most of the data sites such as Bloomberg and Screener. The classroom has good Wi-Fi, and the students can access it whenever they want for group discussion or self-study. We also have a reading room available for self-study. Since it is a new campus, the sports ground is not at place yet, but basic facilities such as football, cricket badminton gym, and table tennis are available.

Hostel Facilities :

We are provided a single occupancy room, which includes a bed, cupboard, storage box, mirror, table, and chair. The mess contract is given to Sodexo, which has set the bar pretty high. They release a weekly menu that includes pasta, golgappe South Indian cuisine, and much more. The taste is good, and they do not adulterate any food item. IIM Ranchi has a hostel on its campus, and students need not worry about registration for the hostel, everything is done by the office.

Admission :

The admission process was tiring. The process was simple as it was through CAP Calls so we didn't have to fill a serate form. the cut off for IIM Ranchi in 2023 was 92 percentile. There was no separate application form or application fee but we did have to check the results on IIM Ranchi website for the final Call after the interview process. The website is user friendly and has good interface. The only problem I faced was while getting final mail regarding the admission but the glitch was resolved.

Interview Experience :

For Cap Calls, there was only Personal Interview which can go up to one hour. My PI was for around 45 minutes and they asked questions related to my academics , hobbies, experience and the union budget. The interview can be a stress interview, descriptive interview or spiral interview but it majorly depends on how you introduced yourself. Hence, anyone preparing for the any collage PI should put maximum efforts into their introduction.

100% placement assistance is provided to the students and after in the term of placement of the students university is too good at it. And they focus each and every students for the placement drive and after all it's totally depends upon the student whether they want to opt in for the placement drive or they want to opt out for the placement drive due to higher studies and starting or managing their own business.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good considering the fees which is charged by XISS. The overall ROI is great and most of the big MNCs and organisations come for the college placements. It completely depends on the individual how he/she cracks the interview. College gives everyone the opportunity to sit for the placement process

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester students get eligible for placements. I guess around more than 50+ companies visit the campus. The highest package is always around 20+ lakhs and on average you can consider 12 lakhs while the lowest is 8 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed can be said around 95%. My plan is to get a good corporate job and work there as such no fancy plans.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The HR course was quite comprehensive. Lots of subjects were dedicated to different functionalities of HR. Lots of focus on Law, and employee benefits, worker rights and employer responsibility. The course boasts of some of the stalwarts of the industry teaching different courses such as the Professor who teaches compensation is responsible for designing the compensation structure over at HUL. It's very comprehensive, and periodically reviewed to remain relevant to the changing times

Course Curriculum Overview:

My Fate, I just slipped in the name of the college, 'social service'. Never do that mistake. That too if u r experienced, Please do not even see the college website. I chose rural management, funny. 75 students in a class. 6-7 faculty in the department. Half of the faculty doesn't speak proper English. There is a lady called Aditi who is placement coordinator. She cannot speak a word in English. She is the placement coordinator.... just imagine situation of the placement. In the second year of the college, from each department, a placement representative will be selected through election. All the PRs should work under her. That's the horrible part. She is a coordinator but acts like a gangster. U cannot call her with name. In 2020, that too a professional course, u cannot call anybody with name. Same old slave mentality. U should call by mam and sir. She ruined my entire second year because I was a non hindi speaking student. Teaching faculties are well qualified but 1940-50 methodologies
