TANCET, Score 35/80 on 2012 .SSN College is promoted by Dr. Shiv Nadar, Chairman, HCL Technologies. Reputed engineering college with sprawling infrastructure, library, placement and other major facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Overall academic curriculum is good. Since it is affiliated private institution, course curriculum is prescribed by Anna University, Chennai. The electives chosen by the college is correlating to industrial needs.

Internships Opportunities :

Students all have their educational experience in common. But some exposure in industry while learning added skills to the profile. I got internship offer in TVS srichakra Limited. Students doing thier internships in major OEM's and generally stipend ranging is based upon company standards.

Placement Experience :

Excellent Placement Record. An active Training & Placement Cell at SSN assists in placements, internships and trainings for job interviews. Major OEM's like Hyundai, Ashok leyland, Ford, TVS group, Nissan motors came for placements. Salary package ranging from 3.00 LPA to 12.00 LPA based upon company standard.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is little expensive, but quite worth for it. As Post graduate is fully residential programme the fee is Rs.1.70 lakhs per annum (approx.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The unique feature of SSN Institutions is the scholarships awarded to students. Scholarships worth Rs 4 crores were recently distributed to 400 students of SSN Institutions, based on the academic performance, sports achievement, rural students and economic needs.

The exams are scheduled as per Anna University norms and it is not hectic. With the regular intervals, college conducting exams to enhancing and evaluating the students knowledge.

Why you should prefer IIT Madras over other IIT's for Mtech/Btech (CSE).

Cirriculum is perfect , machine learning is specialised here , course like Deep learning , PRML , linear algebra , AI offered here are best. Grade distribution is also fine here not as such burder , they give assignments and quizes.

I am pursuing ME computer science and engineering course from AVCE.It is a two-year duration course with 4 specializations. Candidates who have completed BE or B.Tech in relevant discipline are eligible to join ME course. Admission to ME program is given on the basis of GATE/ TANCET scores. I got selected on the basis of my GATE score.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very nice. They often organise on-campus placement drives. Companies like grassroots,intelenet, Revol Softwares, Aqua groups, IDBI etc visit the campus with good job opportunities.

IICPT review for MTech Course

Admission:

Admission is on the basis of IIFPT Post Graduate Entrance Examination. A merit list is prepared on the basis of the entrance exam scores and overall academic performance of the student. I always wanted to join the institute for a bachelor’s, but opting for the Food Tech trade was a last minute decision.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college is pretty decent. Many companies visited our campus this year compared to the previous batch. But still there is a lot of scope for improvement. The average salary package offered is around 3-4 LPA. There is a placement cell which deals with all the placement activities. Students have to search for internships on their own.

Entrance Preview:

I took JEE, I got the rank 2439. I opted for this particular because It was largest and has good name in industry. Also it was close to home and food was to my liking. I found out about food by Alumni.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are very good centrally meaning consultancy, analytics, business etc, while in my department it could be better. General electrics, and core recruiters Hi-fi companies comes once in 2-3 years due to student leaving the companies after a few months for an entrepreneurship or startup. Highlight in Core recruitment: While Rolls-Royce was opened for M. Tech. Students in our department.
