the weather here is amazing . it feels so refreshing to have a walk around
the serene green campus with lakes in every few kilometers
the faculty and the curriculum here is amazing

Dislikes

u have to ride over a bicycle for 2 kms over hills ..
Hostel maintanence is a concern in my case
washrooms are a concern in every college as of i know

Course Curriculum Overview

a semester is 4 months and after the first month u will have a quiz then after a month we will have mid term exams and then a quiz again after a month and the sem concludes with end term exams . Its nearly the same for every course

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 101 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship interviews are done the first semester of your third semester and you have to work in the summer after completing your 3 rd year if you get an offer . girls get internship opportunities in the 2nd year too

Placement Experience

the campus placements here are too good its just that you will have to follow your courses very well and keep practicising . placements happen in the first semester of fourth year . inetrnship opportunites will be given in the first semester of third year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very flexible , there will be fee waiver for family having a less annual income . you can avail that by submitting ur family income certificate . no oncampus jobs will be available and u will not need them too

Campus Life

there are many fests conducted , alcheringa , techniche , virasat , udgam , kriti , tasveer . kirei , spardha and many more . Library is a vast one . u can find nearly 20 copies of any book that u will require your courses

Admission

You have to give JEE mains and if you qualify the mains then you will have to write JEE advanced . There are nearly 10000 IIT seats so try getting a rank below 10000 .Reservation helps a lot , even though u couldnt get a rank below 10k u can get seat with reservation sometimes

Placement Experience:

The college placement aren't much in our college because our college is too deep inside the area it's like a village area companies find it difficult to come here. Companies mostly come for chemical and mechanical engineering students to hire them. For electrical and civil you have to apply off campus. I don't know the highest package from our college but the recent package that was offered by mahindra to mechanical engineering students was 19000 per month. Atleast 35% students get on campus placement. My plan after degree is to pursue mtech or maybe BFA in Seoul, South Korea or maybe find a job outside india

Placement Experience:

The placement of this university is not upto the mark. The highest package recieved by a student was 37 LPA. He was an ECE student. The average LPA is around 6-7 LPA. I think it's a bit low compared to NITs/IITs. But compared to other central and state universities its quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is btech and since it is an IIT the faculty are the best in their fields profs here have done PhD from Stanfords of the world and the prof-student ratio is very healthy. Although there are a lot of exams in the ballpark weekly one or the other exam will be there and the exams are very tough but grading is relative.

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for internship placement in the 5th semester and for the full time, you're eligible for campus placement in the 7th semester. 223 offers were made for 22 pass out students. Some of the companies that visited our campus are Amazon Deloitte ZS Associates Tekion Mindtickle Gamescraft. The highest package was 61.5 lakhs and the average package was 15.34 lakhs. 95.12 per cent of students got placed. My plan after college is to work as a software developer.

A glimpse of IIT Guwahati

For admission in this course you have to clear IIT JAM exam and secure a good rank under 100 of you are a general candidate. You can easily find the application details on Google. There are reservation benifits to avail which you can check on the website. You have to qualify jee mains and sit in jee advanced exam where you first need to clear the cutoff and then apply for IITs in josaa counselling, then colleges roll out their opening and closing rank based on your category rank, if you rank lie between them, then you can take admission in that college. A worth-reading review, for sure

The admission into all IITs will be through JEE ADVANCED exam. I was able to clear JEE MAIN exam with a good rank of AIR 1082 . Thus I got eligible to sit in JEE ADVANCED and cleared it with a decent rank of AIR 5152. The application process and alotment will be through JOSAA portal. I applied for all the top IITs (only for CSE & MNC as per my interest) and I'm a female OBC candidate(OBC RANK: 1002). So I got alotted MNC in IIT GUWAHATI . The cutoff in our year is around 1200 in OBC female category. JOSAA counselling portal takes fees of 3000 only and we give our order of preference in IITs , NITs and IIITs as per our interest and we will be alotted a seat as per our rank....Read More
