Course Curriculum Overview :

I did opted this course as it is a circuital branch which favours us in placement and internships and it also a interdisciplinary course. The faculty : student ratio is 1:15. Every faculty of NIT Trichy is qualified with atleast PhD degree as it is compulsory for all NITs and every faculty is highly qualified. Exams are conducted according to course plan which includes 2 cycle tests approx weightage 20% each after completion of 2 units and final end semester exam for full syllabus and it is difficult as well.

Class Size : 61Course Fees : INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

NIT Trichy offers diverse internship opportunities with reputed companies across sectors like Software, Management , Analystics, core, electronic, engineering, research, and more. The Training and Placement Cell facilitates the process, ensuring students gain practical experience and industry exposure. Specific details can vary each year based on collaborations and industry demands. Software company stipend will be around 1 Lpa plus and for core and management it will be 50k.

Placement Experience :

From 7th semester everyone is eligible for placements. Every big companies visited in campus such as Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, Uber, Flipkart, Atlassian,etc with average package of 18 lpa or more. Around 98% placement in NIT Trichy.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Approx 1,50,000/- per year and scholarships like Merit-cum-Means are available. Financial aid and campus jobs, including research and teaching assistant positions, support students. The fee hike policy is subject to institute decisions. Specific scholarships and jobs with stipends depend on individual eligibility and performance, with opportunities evolving over time.

Campus Life :

Life in NIT Trichy is wonderful where you can find smarties of the country. Many fests such as FESTEMBER as annual cultural fest in September, PRAGYAN as techfest in February. NIT Trichy library is the biggest of all NITs even of IITs where lakhs of bbbooks are available. Classroom are well equipped with all technical amenities which are required. And every sports facilities are available in campus for which dedicated arena is available.

Hostel Facilities :

Mostly are double occupancy in which 2 cots, 2 studying table and chairs, 2 cupboards and 2 almirahs. Meals are hygienic 4 times a day. Every type of mess is available in campus ranging from north Indian mess to Kerala mess.

Hostel Fee : INR 84000 per year

Admission :

Admission to National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli through JEE Main involves qualifying the exam, then participating in JoSAA (or CSAB) counseling, and securing a seat based on merit and preferred choices.

Interview Experience :

Only written examination- JEE Mains -2022 which serves as the qualifying examination for JEE Advanced and also eligible to take admission in NITs, IIITs and other state and central government engineering colleges.

Placement Experience:

Placement Experience:

Students starting placed from their last semester. Reputed companies gave an offer. Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
