Student Life Explicit.

Dislikes

  • Bus facility was inadequate for all the students, and the people living far from the college suffered most from this.
  • Lack of exposure was also a problem whether in academics or extra curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The major reason was choosing the course was because of its huge demand in the market. It provided wholesome opportunities in the private as well as public sectors. I am not sure of the exact student-teacher ratio but I think the teachers were less in number. A major issue was the lack of experienced teachers which was compensated by recent graduates. Exams were held irregularly and majorly focussed on route learning.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees were quite reasonable compared to other semi-private and private colleges. Scholarships were also presented to deserving candidates and economically backward students. The major scholarship that was availed by the students was the PM scholarship.

Campus Life :

There were many fests conducted on and off the campus. Mostly the fests were conducted in June or July. The name of the major fest was Sonzal. Libraries were average with a limited number of books in storage. The classrooms were fine but could have had improvements with the furniture and heating facilities. Sports was not followed as much as you would expect in the college but some of the students tried their best to inculcate the facilities and raise the issues with the authorities.

Admission :

The admission to the course was via the Common Entrance Test conducted by BOPEE. We have to have completed the 12th class in non-medical background. The application process was done when the result was declared and based on the scores, you could have chosen the respective stream. Overall the application process was smooth. However, for counselling all the applicants had to go to another city which I think could have been done in respective cities as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have 4 branch right now. I was interested in cyber security because it's such a field which can't be taken by AI. And our university also provide internship under DRDO. Similarly we have Avionics branch and every year our professor select some brilliant student for the internship and send them to IIST for the project under ISRO.

Remarks:

The management does not work for the growth of students traits they just handle the classes and teachers.

Admission:

There is JKCET entrance exam in j&k for the admission to engineering colleges in j&k.The merit list is prepared and you got the admission. Since it is a minority college 50 percent seats are reserved for sikhs for that there is another entrance exam for sikhs.
