My IIITH experience

Dislikes

  • The sports facilities are not upto the mark
  • The campus life and cultural fests are mediocre

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I had an interest in coding as well as robotics. The faculty-to-student ratio is quite good(15:1) and the profs are quite helpful as well. Most of the prof has done their Ph.D. from top universities. There are exams every month and grading is relative Some exams are difficult and some of medium-level

Placement Experience :

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. All the top companies including google microsoft amazon rubriks visited the campus, The placement rate is above 95% and I plan to go for higher studies(mtech) after completion of my course

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees have been a little hiked over the years. since it's a non-profit University its fees are much less than other private universities. There are no such scholarships but there is financial assistance provided by sbi loan

Campus Life :

The annual fest is Felicity Tech Fests here is Megathon. There is a library which has all the books required for the classwork. The classrooms have a projector blackboard and audio system. Some classrooms have ACs as well. The sports are not as good as other colleges competing with iiit. The college certainly lacks sports facilities

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is quite good and clean. The room is cleaned every 15 days. There are 4 mess 3 veg and 1 non veg. The food in north mess is good and other average There is no such registration process for hostel because it is compulsory for the students to live in hostel even if there house is next to the college

Admission :

I got through jee mains 99.628%ile was the cutoff There are many modes like dasa(for foreign students), The application form is available on the college website The admission process was quite good and smooth

Other Applied Colleges

Birla Institute of Technology and Science - [BITS] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science)

Because of coding culture of iiit Hyderabad

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I think that most of us the course curriculum was outdated as it is older than the birth of the students According to my understanding I suggest you to update the curriculum based on the current technology and advancement in the industry requirements

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is the old not updated overall since decades many subjects are included which are not practiced in real world. Theory subjects should be removed and practical coding subjects should be included which covers the real world applications.

There will be several placement drives conducted each year. Many students get placements through these drives. If not can get jobs off campus with good gpa of 7-10 in graduation. Can also go further higher studies if interested.

Remarks:

On my personal experience, I would say that college is very strict and they have closed gate that is not accpectable. Even they will not permit you to leave the campus without the permission from the required faculty.
