Remarks :
BIT Sindri is one of the oldest government technical institutes in India. The college has a large infrastructure with more than 500 acres of land. Bit Sindri is mainly preferred because of purely government, low fees, good quality education, big campus. Here students have very much time to upgrade their skills by doing some course side by side. Here attendance is not mandatory. The admission process is simple and that is through JEE Main exam. In 2020, due to covid 19 admission is done in November. Those who are interested in engineering, they can visit the site bitsindri.ac.in to get more information, or one can visit our Facebook page also.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Chemical Engineering is one of the oldest branches in India. From starting onwards, I was very much fascinated by this branch. No of students in this branch is 91. The ratio of boys is to girls is 5:3. There are around 20 faculties in our branch. All faculties have done MTech and PhDs from reputed colleges. They have good teaching experience. Their teaching method is a little bit disappointing but overall good. Here exams are held timely. Here exams are Moderate to difficult.
Internships Opportunities :
Many internships are offered in BIT Sindri. Some of the private companies internships that you get are from Internshala, tata steel, tata motors, TCS, etc. And government internships are also offered such as IOCL, CSIR DHANBAD, SAIL, BHEL, BCCL, VIZAG profiles, etc. These all are paid internships, means in all these internships you will get a proper stipend per month. In this year, 5 students cracked 3 months internships in MITIACS global scholarship in Canada. These all internships you will get on merit. You also have to do some(2-3) major projects to become eligible for these internships.
Placement Experience :
In BIT Sindri, placements are good. In my college students are eligible from 3rd year to sit on-campus placement. They can also go for internships from the first year itself. Around 50+ companies visited in the year 2020. This is a little bit less due to covid 19. Some of the companies that visit regularly are Tata Steel, Vedanta, Aditya Birla group, TCS, TCS digital, Ericsson, etc. Highest package is 13 lakhs p.a being offered by Tata steel and the average package is around 6 lakhs p.a. Here around 50 to 60 percent of students are placed each year. In 2024 I will get my degree. My future plans are that I will give GATE exam. I want to be in under 100 rank so that I could get a job in PSUs or get MTech admission in IITs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Here fees are too low. If your financial condition is poor, it is the best place to get a quality education. Here everything is funded by the government so there is very little chance to get a hike in fees. Here overall fees for 4 years are less than 2lac(everything included). Since it's a government college so many internships are there which you can take(mainly government internships such as in IOCL, BHEL, SAIL, BCCL, etc. You will get a stipend in doing internships depending on your merit.
Campus Life :
College life is one of the best parts of life. In BIT Sindri college life is very good. You will enjoy it very much. Annual fest and tech fests are not held frequently. Since it's my fresher year so I don't know much about fests. The library building is huge. You can get many books of your choice. Classrooms are well maintained and furnished. Majority of the classrooms are smart(digitally studies are being on). There are many sport and extracurricular activities. You can participate in many sports, much social work run by the college such as prayass India, etc. There are many clubs run by our seniors. These include Model, Leo, Eco, photographic, sports, coding, robotics, Rotaract club, etc. One can also visit on Facebook or our website bitsindri.ac.in to get more information.
