The college food is so poor and the college should really work on that

Course Curriculum Overview :

I somewhere was interested in meeting new people and love to serve people so this was the reason why I chose this course. There will be around 380 students in a batch whereas there are a total of 60 teachers approx in the college. All teachers are well qualified and qualified for the entrance exam to be part of this college as a faculty.

Class Size : 80Course Fees : INR 126750 per year

Internships Opportunities :

So you will go for an internship in your 2nd year in a 5-star hotel and will be working in all four major departments that are the front office, housekeeping, food production and food and beverage service. You will be working from 8-15 hours depending on the property.

Placement Experience :

The placements are not so good to be honest even though you will get lots of options like in hotel, retails and QSR Fields. The package will be from 2 lakhs to -4 lakhs per annum. Some brands are like taj Oberoi star bucks reliance Aditya Birla CCD Leela Palace etc

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

So the total fees will be approx 4 lakhs and if you will opt for a hostel that it will cost you approx 56000 per year. I don't have much knowledge about scholarships but yes it will cost you way less than other private hotel management colleges.

Campus Life :

There will be so many fests including freshers and farewell. It also conducts annual functions and so on. Classrooms are well furnished with facilities of separate switchboards for all tables separately. There are 6 clubs all total like cultural, horticulture etc

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel rooms will be having 2 fans and will be three sharing which will have 3 cupboards for all three roommates. The hostel will provide you with 3 meals a day and the college will give lunch to everyone. The hostel will be given on a first come first serve basis.

Hostel Fee : INR 56000 per year

Admission :

So for opting for this course, you should be 12 passes with a minimum percentage of 60. you will net through any of the ihm colleges by giving NCHMCT exam according to the Mark you will score. you will find the form on the website itself. yes, there is reservation as compared to other competitive entrance exams. The admission process is very smooth. overall it is a good college

IHM Kolkata an experience

Placement Experience:

The campus selection starts from 05th sem onwards. Lots of companies visit some are:- Taj, Oberios, Leela, HHI, ITC, Dominoes, Pizza Hut, CCD, Starbucks, Fairmont etc. I dont remeber the highest package amount but it was around 30k. 95% students got placement and for those who had difficulty getting placed the faculties would help them find internship or job through their reference. I completed my degree back in 2013 and got placement through the college and started working.
